stenbaro Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 Like I said...don't count them out just yet!!!!!!!!!!!   Hey Blue whose stadium is your avatar set too?
LabattBlue Posted March 16, 2008 Author Report Posted March 16, 2008 Hey Blue whose stadium is your avatar set too? HSBC Arena. I couldn't find my old avatar after the board crash and stumbled across this one. It is actually a pic from a company that sells miniature replicas of stadiums/arenas... http://classicsportreplicas.tripod.com/id29.html

carpandean Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 Flyers down 5-1 nearing the end of the second. That would certainly help put us right back in it.
spndnchz Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 March 18 Come on Atlanta! Come on Nashville! Get your mind out of the gutter and start prayin' to the Hockey gods for these two to win tonight! Islanders too while we're at it.
carpandean Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 It certainly looked like something clicked last weekend. Tonight will give a better indication if it truly has or not. Their PP still looked ridiculous, but other than that, it was an effort like they hadn't showed in a while. Build off of it and they could make a run at a playoff spot; lay an egg again tonight and the noose will tighten further. Here's believing it will be the former! Updated my previous statement (changed one whole word).
LabattBlue Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 3 wins in a row since I started this thread. I really don't want to go back to the 1st page and look for the people who said "NO CHANCE!" :D

LabattBlue Posted March 24, 2008 Author Report Posted March 24, 2008 It's not over 'til the fat lady sings!
inkman Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 It's not over 'til the fat lady sings! Stick it in 'em, Blue!
Bmwolf21 Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 It's not over 'til the fat lady sings! She's definitely warming up, though...
wjag Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 Stick it in 'em, Blue! Looks like a piece of art doomed to the "RIT Fine Arts Grave Yard"
Swedesessed Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 Stick it in 'em, Blue! Agreed. It is over.
JohnRobertEichel Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 The funny thing is that the Sabres still technically control their own destiny. Win their last 7 games - including regulation wins both times against Boston - and there is no need for scoreboard watching. Of course, I have serious doubts this team can win ONE game, let alone seven. So yes, this season is over. Better luck next year.
R_Dudley Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 It's not over 'til the fat lady sings! Im still with ya till they are completely, totally mathematically eliminated and then I'm still with ya watching what players show up and still play with pride and hope they will continue to play the kids and at least get them some more NHL experience...Maybe even make T-Bo earn a paycheck but only after total elimination...

Thibeault should most of his salary this year to Miller, since Miller had to play about 99% of the season.
carpandean Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 If we do get mathematically eliminated, Thibeault should play the remainder of the season. Looking for a better draft position?
Goose Nasty Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 if its one thing we should know about any buffalo team, dont count them out till the very last sec. of the very last game.
wjag Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 This season cant end soon enough... Have no fear, it'll be over by the weekend. The teams we are trying to catch are not stumbling. The math gets worse with each night.
carpandean Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 This season cant end soon enough... No matter how bad it has gotten, that is one thing that I have never wished. I hate the off-season. Once this season is over, I will be saying that pre-season can't come soon enough. At least when they're playing, there is a chance for a great game. They've had 9 or 10 games where they won scoring 5 or more goal (including several of 7 or more), some great comeback wins (mostly against TB) and a few hard-fought victories. Sure, they've also laid their fair share of eggs, but there's usually something exciting to watch (e.g., Kaleta with some big hits). I will never wish for a season to end.
LabattBlue Posted March 24, 2008 Author Report Posted March 24, 2008 Agreed. It is over. I'm waiting for Doohickie to come back and proclaim once again that "it's over". He got awfully quiet in this thread after the Sabres won three in a row.

The one thing about the hockey season is it starts so quick after it ends..This yr has been a disaster since the last one ended and I cant wait for it to be over and see what might happen next yr..
LabattBlue Posted March 24, 2008 Author Report Posted March 24, 2008 Do I need to remind everyone how far Edmonton made it from the 8 spot in 05-06 in the always "tough" Western Conference?
