Bmwolf21 Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Miller wasn't at fault for getting the hook tonight, the 5 stiffs in front of him were. Oh, I don't disagree at all. The only one he probably should have had was the 3rd one, and part of me wonders if Ruff pulled him to save him from the 5 stiffs in front of him.
Kristian Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Oh, I don't disagree at all. The only one he probably should have had was the 3rd one, and part of me wonders if Ruff pulled him to save him from the 5 stiffs in front of him. I think that's a fair assumption.
Crestwood Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 I agree that whining about the refs isn't going to make things any better, but that was a nice phantom hooking call on Roy. Second really bad call of the night.
PromoTheRobot Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Officiating not TOO one-sided tonight, eh? I guess somebody wants to be sure Toronto doesn't embarress themselves two nights in a row! PTR
BRH Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 You could read Lindy's lips after the call on Roy: "That's 'cause it's in fcuking Toronto!"
Stoner Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 You could read Lindy's lips after the call on Roy: "That's 'cause it's in fcuking Toronto!" Back to lip-reading school! He said "that's a f****** joke!" One of his classic lines.
wjag Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Relax fellas we have them right where we want them.. 4on4 to start 3rd.
BRH Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Uh...I'm a pretty good lipreader. I can tell the difference between "joke" and "Toronto". I mean, the words may MEAN the same thing, but they LOOK different. :D
Crestwood Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Anybody happen to catch faceoff stats during the intermission? It seems like the Sabres are losing just about every one.
mrjsbu96 Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 seems like a handful of watching the game on HNIC....anyone else catch Hotstove and their debate about fighting? interesting how some former fighters are re-thinking its place in the game.... i still think the game needs it but then again i've been accused of being a backer of the officials! :)
JujuFish Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Okay, down 4-1 5 minutes into the third. Let's see history repeat. Pretty please?
JohnRobertEichel Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 this is not a stanley cup winning defense. My thoughts exactly. We probably have enough compensating firepower on offense to make it through the Eastern Conference, but one of those Western Conference teams with a goalie catching playoff fire will eat this team alive.
wjag Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 McCabe from the blue line Buffalo:  Toronto: :death: :death: :death: :death:
blugold43 Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Relax fellas we have them right where we want them.. 4on4 to start 3rd. #%^$#!. this is the exact point at whcih i turned off the computer last night. hmmm....what to do??
PromoTheRobot Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 It's just the Leafs night. They can't stink every night. PTR
JujuFish Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 #%^$#!. this is the exact point at whcih i turned off the computer last night. hmmm....what to do?? Turn it off.
sabregoats Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Well another missed cross check inside the Toronto zone, and I am fully convinced that everything is going to get called in toronto's favor tonight. The NHL wants as many canadian teams as possible to be fighting for a playoff spot.
Crestwood Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Uh, Soup? White jerseys = your teammates.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Hey guys... Just joining in! Doesn't look too good for the good guys... 1-4 again... Don't think they will do it again... Oh well, a split is nice and I hope the Leafs miss the final playoff spot by two points! :chris: :death: I didn't read through the whole thread... What happened to Miller/Conks... Who started? and (cringe) did anyone get hurt????
darksabre Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Miller got pulled but it wasn't due to an injury or even that he wasn't playing well, it was just the rest of the team blowing it
PromoTheRobot Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Great game, Leafs. You guys can talk about it while you watch the Sabres in the playoffs. Don't be late for tee time. PTR
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Miller got pulled but it wasn't due to an injury or even that he wasn't playing well, it was just the rest of the team blowing it Thanks! :D Went to a St. Joseph's Table (not sure when the official day is) tonight and missed most... Again, a split is good and wow! Wouldn't it be something if the Leafs missed by 2 points... I figured the Slugos would concede this game... Not sure why though? You just knew the Leafs were gonna look for blood! Well anyway... The Panteros are beating that boring team by one!... We just need the Bolts to get their head out of their arse and cool the Otters... Otters up 4-2... <_<
JohnRobertEichel Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Oh well, a split is nice and I hope the Leafs miss the final playoff spot by two points! :chris: :death: A split's not nice because Ottawa is rapidly gaining on us in the standings race. It will look like this after tonight: Buffalo: 75 games, 103 pts Ottawa: 76 games, 98 pts Ottawa also holds the tiebreaker over us by virtue of their 5-3 head-to-head regular season record. I understand teams have off nights, but the problem is that Ottawa has only had 5 truly off nights (defined as regulation losses) in the past 3 months!!! The Sens wouldn't have split a home-home series with Toronto. They would have taken all 4 points and put more than just 1 period of effort in the entire series. Just sayin'. Apologies for the negative diatribe, but the Sabres' total lack of effort this game pisses me off to no end. Even more so than the loss of the 2 points in the standings race.
