MBD Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 dude, you need to stop drinking the kool-aid. it is pathetic. the calls went both ways and it gets so old to listen to the constant fugging whining... Shotty officiating is shotty officiating and NEEDS to be criticized, especially when the Sabres win. And get serious if you think that the calls evened out.
BRH Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 No, now they'll start calling stuff. There's still hope :D Man, this was the prophetic post of the night. I thought the same thing too: "now there HAS to be a makeup call." The Sabres cashed in on the ensuing PP, opened the door and then knocked it the #%^$#! down. What a comeback. This is up there with the three-goal comeback and OT win with 7 minutes left in Boston last November. Wait what am I saying. This is WAY better because it came against the Loafs. :D
mrjsbu96 Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 i'm not complaining, but does anyone else noticing that for some reason the Center Ice MSG feed always shows the post-game but every other game the coverage cuts out immediately after the game? amazing comeback win tonight, but still a little worried it took us two periods to match the intensity. thank god there was a enough beer in the fridge...
Assquatch Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Did anyone else notice the shot Miller gave to Tucker as time was expiring? Payback for getting run in the first?
connee Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Shotty officiating is shotty officiating and NEEDS to be criticized, especially when the Sabres win. And get serious if you think that the calls evened out. This has been going on for a couple of months now, it's a problem
BRH Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Anyone know a good Leafs board? I won't say anything, I promise. I just want to watch. :D
Chief Enabler Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 I come back from my sister's rehersal dinner and they're down 4-1. i watched it online, and i do not believe what i just saw. If that didn't crown this team, i don't know what will... Where's your priorities??? I hope it is a day wedding. Congratulations anyway. I hope she is wearing road whites and he is wearing retro blue sweater.
wjag Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Say what you will about tonight's play, but in my opinion this game brings home why it is great to be a Sabres fan.. I was going crazy with that incredible comeback.. This team is just fun to watch...
Knightrider Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 I come back from my sister's rehersal dinner and they're down 4-1. i watched it online, and i do not believe what i just saw. If that didn't crown this team, i don't know what will... Basically the same thing happen to me. Turned it on, and it was 4-1, but not for long. There was nothing sweeter than seeing the head shakes on the Leafs bench. BRH, see my sig for the chat.mapleleafs.com.

wjag Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Anyone know a good Leafs board? I won't say anything, I promise. I just want to watch. :D Find any post from Knightrider.. He has them in his sig.. I think US customs should give each Leafs car heading back north a hearty buh bye.. Thanks for making this night so special...
McJeff215 Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 It was like the Bills vs. Denver in 1990 Denver?
mrjsbu96 Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Shotty officiating is shotty officiating and NEEDS to be criticized, especially when the Sabres win. And get serious if you think that the calls evened out. Where is PASabrefan when I need him - Kool Aid alerts everywhere..... I'll tell you something that plays in to whether or not an offical makes a call - the effort that the team is giving. and when an official notices a team giving an effort like buffalo did the first two periods it is no wonder they are not going to get the calls. they DIDN'T deserve the calls, b/c they weren't working hard enough to earn them. maybe their effort had something to do with how come they got a call or two in the third, which still weren't even the best calls. but i digress, it is obvious that the officials are against buffalo entirely.
wjag Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Denver? I was there for that. 3 TDs in 21 seconds or something like that. It was crazy...
connee Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Denver? When they scored 3 touchdowns in 2 minutes
SabresFan526 Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 It was like the Bills vs. Denver in 1990 I would say more like Bills vs. Houston in 1993 playoffs i.e. The Frank Reich miracle. But, I say that because of the nature of the comeback.
Knightrider Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Denver? 21 points in ~73seconds...
mrjsbu96 Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Denver? Germans? Forget it....he's on a roll...
connee Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 21 points in ~73seconds... And John Elway on the sideline shaking his head
JujuFish Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 And with that, we now can do no worse, points-wise, than the entire Southeast division.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 I feel sorry for those Leafs fans.....NOT!!!! :nana: I do... Just till after TOMORROW NIGHT... We do have to make that trip up the QEW... Lets keep the Karma alive and act nice to our northern brethren!... And yes... This is all one big charade on my part! :D The minute I started praising the Leafs, the Slugos turned it on... Wow!... What a fun weekend it will be after all!
BRH Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 And John Elway on the sideline shaking his head They did that all the time back then. I remember a game against the Raiders not long after that Denver game when they turned a 24-14 deficit into a 38-24 lead in the blink of a friggin eye. Happened over and over. Great teams do that. This is a great team.

Ah yes, the "you're not giving enough effort so you don't deserve a deserved call." So tell me, where were the calls in the 3rd, when the Sabres DID start giving effort? BTW, that reminds me of how a friend of mine who used to coach rec basketball games, would get on me for criticizing officials, yet then would tell me that sometimes he wouldn't see what happened, knew a foul happened, and automatically called-it in favor of the "better" team. but i digress, it is obvious that the officials are against buffalo entirely. Again Candadian teams, you're damn right.

This is a great team. Okay, I think I remember this. I vaguely remember the Denver game, but I definitely remember the Raiders game where Nate Odoms just ripped the ball out of Willie Gualt's hands and took it for a score. Were both of these games Sunday Night Games on TNT? If someone could refresh my memory, I think I may actually remember the Denver game.
