Stoner Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 This song is hot! If this doesn't catch on, I'll eat a slug.
SCSabresFan! Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 That was worth the download time. Good job Eddie!
ofiba Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Wow. A rap song about hockey. I never thought I'd hear one of those. I love it.
thesportsbuff Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 i don't think it will catch on too much, but it was definitely worth the listen! haha
evil_otto Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 i don't think it will catch on too much, but it was definitely worth the listen! haha Maybe it would if it was rapped by the 1985 Chicago Bears... along with Natalie Portman and a few well timed F-Bombs. :D But seriously, it's ok. Even if they did rip off RJ's 12 Days of Xmas at the end.
Corp000085 Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 What would mark miller say about that rap? he really gives it to bettman in that clip
Stoner Posted March 23, 2007 Author Report Posted March 23, 2007 God rest his soul. He is sadly missed.
Supersabre Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Its definitely different. Its not the common stuff of hard rock music that normally accompanies a hockey video or the "crowd chant" that is used after goals are scored. I'll give it a 5 or a 6 out of 10.
evil_otto Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 What would mark miller say about that rap? he really gives it to bettman in that clip Ahahaha!!! I can't stop laughing :D . Oh, my sides... Thank you for that clip. Even if it is for the Bills, that video should played on the Jumbotron at Sabres games. For the love of god, replace "Cotton Eye Joe" with Mark Miller!
BuffalOhio Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 That's awesome. Very well done, whether it's rap or not, I love it!
That Aud Smell Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Big ups to Eddie Haskell (and, of course, big ups to Brooklyn - RIP, Biggie - I'll see you at the crossroads). I've loved the Sabres for as long as I can remember -- which most likely means I've loved them since ~1974 or prior thereto. And I've loved rap and hip hop music ever since I got hold of my first RUN-DMC album in 1986. So, while I don't think Eddie's "bustin' jaws" or "breaking it off something proper" with this track, I want to say "much respect" to you, Mr. Haskell.
Chief Enabler Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 This song is hot! If this doesn't catch on, I'll eat a slug. Love it, best thing I've seen in awhile, Thanks!

Chief Enabler Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Is that Darce? :) I can be anyone you want it to be, sure!
Taro T Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 This song is hot! If this doesn't catch on, I'll eat a slug. Damn, that was good. It's very rare for me to like a rap song, but that was alright. Good find PA.
Stoner Posted March 24, 2007 Author Report Posted March 24, 2007 Damn, that was good. It's very rare for me to like a rap song, but that was alright. Good find PA. I had a similar reaction, Dave. Rap music has that catchy beat, but as a square white guy, I don't like the language, or the fact I can't understand the language. No language problems here, although mispronouncing Hecht and Lydman and saying "yellow and blue" are minor flaws. It's still a diamond though.
