Atlanta benefitted from 2 of my least favorite things in hockey that period.

1. The automatic 2:00 for shooting the puck over the glass. Drury's was a textbook example of why that rule is just terrible. No intent of shooting it in the crowd, tries to bounce it off the glass and the puck sails into the stands.

2. If you're going to prevent a line change after icings, giving a 2:00 commercial break defeats the purpose. The Sabres had Atlanta on their heals, Atlanta ices it and gets a nice 2:00 rest.

That's your team leader, Atlanta...good to see all of Tkachuk's better qualities rubbing off on him. Good move, Waddell!

Hey, don't have Center Ice nor live in Buffalo. Is yahoo not broadcasting the game? I cannot seem to watch it on yahoo nor can I watch it on sopcast. I can only listen to it on nhl.com. Anybody else watching the game on the Internet? Thanks.

I think it would make so much more sense if they did the same thing for this as they do for icing. just preventing a line change and a deep faceoff should be penalty enough.

I know a lot of people hate giving the refs any discretion, but I think you have to. In situations like this one, where it was just an easy dump off the glass to clear the zone, there is no way that he is going to do that on purpose.
