hopeleslyobvious Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Atlanta benefitted from 2 of my least favorite things in hockey that period. 1. The automatic 2:00 for shooting the puck over the glass. Drury's was a textbook example of why that rule is just terrible. No intent of shooting it in the crowd, tries to bounce it off the glass and the puck sails into the stands. 2. If you're going to prevent a line change after icings, giving a 2:00 commercial break defeats the purpose. The Sabres had Atlanta on their heals, Atlanta ices it and gets a nice 2:00 rest.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 That's your team leader, Atlanta...good to see all of Tkachuk's better qualities rubbing off on him. Good move, Waddell!
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Illya is a maroon. He has really not impressed me. Tons of talent, but a ton of ego to go along with it.
Corp000085 Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 That's your team leader, Atlanta...good to see all of Tkachuk's better qualities rubbing off on him. Good move, Waddell! so, 3:15 of PP time on fresh ice... can we score? can we at least shoot? can we prevent odd man rushes? all things to be answered in the next 15 minutes
SabresFan526 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Hey, don't have Center Ice nor live in Buffalo. Is yahoo not broadcasting the game? I cannot seem to watch it on yahoo nor can I watch it on sopcast. I can only listen to it on nhl.com. Anybody else watching the game on the Internet? Thanks.
bob_sauve28 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Him and Zubrus really are playing well together. Yes! So are Campbell and Tallinder
X. Benedict Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Illya is a maroon. Knucklehead. I don't get it.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Hopefully the boys can take advantage of the big PP...
sabregoats Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Atlanta benefitted from 2 of my least favorite things in hockey that period. 1. The automatic 2:00 for shooting the puck over the glass. I think it would make so much more sense if they did the same thing for this as they do for icing. just preventing a line change and a deep faceoff should be penalty enough.
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I know a lot of people hate giving the refs any discretion, but I think you have to. In situations like this one, where it was just an easy dump off the glass to clear the zone, there is no way that he is going to do that on purpose.
darksabre Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 one good thing from that power play is that we spent most of it in their end for a change. too bad we still cant seem to score.
