Last night's VS telecast was very reminiscent of....

At the begining of the game I felt good about Pittsburgh keeping their team. However, due to the ball licking of Crosby by the end of the game I was cursing the city of Pittsburgh.

I know this is a little off topic, but still on the same page. Was anyone else fulled with joy after Malkin got the penalty for holding Kalinin's stick after he tried to draw a tripping penalty? I was cheering just as much as I would if the Sabres would have scored.

I'm sick of hearing all they hype about Crosby, Malkin and Staal. Crosby taking the cake out of the 3. I just can't stand Malkin and his case. Right now he should be back in Russia serving the rest of his contract with Metallurg Magnitogorsk since he didn't give the team 2 weeks notice. If that was a US player goin over to another team, you better believe we'd be hunting him down. If he was dumb enough to sign the contract knowing he prob. would get drafted into the NHL, he should be shipped back over to finish his contract.

Staal, Wouldn't be a name if it wasn't for his brother. I hate when somone gets a majority of attention because of a sibling or parent. The kid is good, but it sound like most of the attention is refered back to "his older brother Eric"

Crosby... well I won't beat that goat any more, I think you guys tackled that subject already. I was sick of hearing his name mentioned for the dumbest things. Crosby's on the ice, heads of on a change, takes a drink of water.... call the game level....

I actually yelled out loud when that happened. Something along the lines of "Hahahaha, you a*****es!" to the announcers. I thought it was freakin' hilarious how they not only called it prematurely against Kalinin but were also 15 seconds into any explanation of how and why it happened. They literally stopped in mid-sentence when the ref said "Seven One Black" instead of "Four Five White." It showed that not only did they miss the actual play as it happened (which by itself isn't all that unusual) but were content to start making things up about what happened to fill in the blanks, and while somehow missing the fact that Malkin, not Kalinin, was already sitting in the penalty box. Here's a request, OLN, how about watching what's happening on the ice, not the monitor, and tell me something I can't see for myself on the TV screen?

everytime i move my cursor over this icon: :wallbash: , i think it says "ballwash" instead of "wallbash."

easy mistake, right? not a freudian slip or anything.

I thought I was the only one.

I agree they did a lot of ball-washing of Crosby, but unlike with Bruschi most of the reach arounds from the announcers are well deserved. The kid is the best the game has to offer.

Absolutely. I also believe that Vs has the agenda of promoting Crosby as much as possible and I can't blame them. He is the real deal and the NHL needs to cling to anything that will bring the league some real credibilty.

I'd rather hear about Crosby all day than to have to listen to one more ass kiss of Teddy freakin Bruschi from Joe Thiesman's running mouth, I swear!!

Because God knows nothing of that sort will ever come out of the league office. <_<
