SDS Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 He got his "respect" from the Islanders, who then traded him away. He went to another Cup finals, but then winded up in Toronto soon after. A few years, three teams, no one really giving a rat's ass about him... Would he have been better off as the King of Buffalo, or by taking the cash and hopping from team to team to finish off his career?
deluca67 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 It turned out to be one of those times where there wasn't a winner. Considering what happened shortly after he left, all the Rigas stuff, who is to say he wouldn't have been dealt even if he had signed.
IKnowPhysics Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Well, of course as the story goes, if Peca had stayed, we probably wouldn't have dealt Warrener and Begin around for Drury.
