Corp000085 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 8pm The sabres generally aren't pleased after a loss, especially a loss that was clearly the result of lack of effort/preparation. Lightning doesn't strike twice. Conklin will probably get the start tonight, and the sabres won't test fate with him. i expect a tighter game and i expect the sabres to display more effort, especially in the offensive zone. We don't lose this game tonight... Won't happen.
Orange Seats Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Buffalo News reports that Conklin is getting the start.
fallen627 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 It will be really interesting to see how he does. I think he will start to improve now that he is on a better team. Sometimes success is contagious, but we will have to see...
slugspirit Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 We don't lose this game tonight... Won't happen. Buffalo News reports that Conklin is getting the start. yeeeaaaa..... about that.....
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 yeeeaaaa..... about that.....  3 games in 4 nights...1st game of a back to back...This one against an out of conference opponent, tomorrow against a team trying to catch us in the conference. Why would you start Miller tonight? He needs a night off on back to backs and tomorrow is a 4 point game.
X. Benedict Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Isn't Mike Ramsey #5 in the building tonight?
Goodfella25 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 This is going to be a tough game and a big challenge for Conklin in net. We better work a lot harder than we did on Wednesday.

Just doubting the idea that Conklin is a winning goaltender. Obviously we haven't seen Ty backstopping this team yet, so I should reserve judgement, but my feeling right now is that I'll be happy with just getting a point from tonight's game.
Samson's Flow Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Not saying that Miller should start. Just doubting the idea that Conklin is a winning goaltender. Obviously we haven't seen Ty backstopping this team yet, so I should reserve judgement, but my feeling right now is that I'll be happy with just getting a point from tonight's game. there has to be some reason that corsi wanted to bring him in, so he cant be horrible. we have been spoiled for so long having biron who is capable of a #1 performance as a backup goaltender, so now that we have an actual backup goaltender many of the sabre faithful are going to infer that he is terrible and a bust. backups are called that for a reason, but i think that he is a suitable goalie for his role and will improve with our coaching staff.
Claude Balls Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 there has to be some reason that corsi wanted to bring him in, so he cant be horrible. I sure hope it wasn't Ty's 3-12-0-3 record with Syracuse of the AHL. Yes, Syracuse sucks this year, but come on! The only thing that record shows me is that he sucks in regulation, is allright in OT, but then sucks again in shootouts. Maybe he can get us into a shootout and then Miller can come in. I'll be praying for the kid to have a good game. Hopefully he changed the paint on his Columbus/Syracuse mask, because it sure didn't do him any favors being those colors.
Strow Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 any place to watch this game online tonight? Found the answer to my onw questions, looks like its on Yahoo! tonight.
Orange Seats Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 any place to watch this game online tonight? Found the answer to my onw questions, looks like its on Yahoo! tonight. Yes, if I remember correctly, Yahoo! is streaming it. (damn simultaneous posting/editing!!!!)
Ima90sJezus Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Yes, if I remember correctly, Yahoo! is streaming it. (damn simultaneous posting/editing!!!!) Not sure if its the same feed or not, but you can watch the game over the net via Comcast here ----->Sabres vs. Wild
will Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 it's friday night...i'm not staying at work to watch this one. comcast digital cable and center ice getting installed monday! why didn't i do this months ago?
cdexchange Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 I don't have a good feeling about this one. Wild 5 Sabres 3. Just my gut...hope I'm wrong :bag:
fallen627 Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 I think Buffalo will win this game, but I see a good number of goals being scored. Losing the last game should motivate them. I predict the opposite of the previous prediction, 5-3 Sabres win.
HopsGuy Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Is it 8:00 yet??? Why, yes. Yes it is.
HopsGuy Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Kevin Sylvester just said that it will be Miller between the pipes tonight. Guess Conklin will get his Bflo debut manyana.
Strow Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 I would think miller against the devils to keep the lead in the conf. but thats why they get paid the big bucks.
wjag Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 End-to-end action Moore beats Miller top shelf. Buffalo: Minnesota: :death:
carpandean Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Just to feed the anti-Kalinin threads, he gave away the puck behind the net before the goal.
