MattPie Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Everyone should go check out the save Marty made last night vs the Devils. It on the NHL highlight stream for the game at about 10:00 in the third. It's fantastic. Yes, it's bizarre to root for the Flyers. At this point, every win they get is good for Marty and reduces the number of points that the Sabres need to clinch things!

The Flyers as those lovable losers only works for so long. They are the Flyers.

That Aud Smell Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 marty made a tremendous save, no doubt. but, IMO, he only had the chance to make such a ridiculous save because he'd overreacted, flopped around, and put himself out of position in the first instance (when he was facing elias).
wjag Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 That made up for the shot he let go in by Elias. Elias wound up from the circle and beat him clean.
Stoner Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Are we sure we didn't trade Miller instead? :)
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Are we sure we didn't trade Miller instead? :) Brodeur gave up 5 goals to the lowly Flyers...I can only imagine your comments if you were a Devils fan.
Goodfella25 Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Will people still love the Flyers next year when they sign Briere? I am sticking by my prediction that although they seemed to have learned their lesson about brings in UFAs vs. building from within, they will go after Briere. And now they've got Marty there lobbying their management
