Orange Seats Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 I'm just very fond of Barrasso and Puppa because I remember watching them in the Aud as a kid... Malarchuck too, back when it seemed like you could dress a line with "-chuck" named players: Malar, Andrey, Hauer.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Wait, I seem to remember John Blue, didn't he have 14 children and survive a fire and prohibition? You forgot the kidnapping... :w00t: I'm too young for guys like Crozier, but I'm shocked that people would think that anyone was in Hasek's league. Two Harts and what, 5 Vezinas? You'd be hard pressed to find any goalies, let alone another Sabres goalie that comes close to what he did. Is this still a case of hard feelings over the way he left? His exit didn't win over a lot of people, but I would hope that fans could look objectively at his play and realize that he was one of, if not THE best goalie in NHL history, and winning as much as he did with some of the teams in front of him was damn near miraculous. My list looks like this: 1. Hasek 2. Hasek 3. Hasek 4-XX: Everyone else.
apuszczalowski Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 I think Bob found his groove being Ryan Millers agent though.... Is that true? he's now Millers agent?
wjag Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Hasek Crozier Someday Miller... One thing is for sure, he will win more cups as a Sabre than anyone else who has wore the B&G
shrader Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Is that true? he's now Millers agent? No, he's the goalie coach for the Bruins.
johnnychemo Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 1. Hasek - no brainer 2. Barrasso 3. Edwards 4. Miller - could move up in time 5. Desjardins - incredible before the eye injury Honorable Mentions: Al Smith - pissed because Edwards got the starting nod over him, skated to center ice, waived goodbye and left the game, leaving the Sabres with no backup goalie that night. Rocky Farr - he was in net the first Sabres game I saw on TV. so much for my age....
