um.. we do have polls.

 

but to answer your question, the sabres did just fine. They traded UFA biron and goaltending depth for UFA zubrus, cap space and defenseman depth. We didn't upgrade at all, we shifted depth.

 

 

Hindsight will prove to be 20/20, but last year, defensive depth bit us, so darcy got the depth. Cap space is great, and we'll all be thanking the biron move when connolly comes back. If miller gets hurt, i'm sure darcy will be criticized, but what can you do?? if the sabres had kept biron, connolly wouldn't have been available. The dice have been rolled, so lets just see how this plays out.

To tell you the truth.....i wanted Gary Roberts.

I know he is old and probably just good for this year. Where Zubruis has alot more upside and is younger. But Roberts impact would have been substantially better toward winning the cup.

I hope Zubby can crash the net like Roberts...he certainly has the size. I guess we will find out soon.

Already today Roberts has a goal and two assists.
