wow, what a terrible period for the sabres. 2 goals on complete meltdowns. It's still respectable though, with the sabres only being down by one. I'd be happy if they forced OT, but i'm not about to get my hopes up.

That was about as uninspired as you can get.

Anybody else annoyed by Jim Lorentz when he says about the opposing team..."You have to give them credit, blah, blah, blah..." instead of criticizing the play of the Sabres when it is warranted.

ok lindy must have given a lashing. the sabres are coming on stronger than they did in the 2nd. They need a goal soon.

i really like the fact that the 4th line is getting a lot of ice time. they need to get some energy going

I was about ready to call it a night =) Sens and Thrashers still 1-1.

and as i was writing about how the sabres lost a forgettable game, kotalik blasts a point shot, deflected by pomenville to force overtime. Stealing at least one point from none. Leave it to the sabres to tie it up with the goalie pulled. huge huge huge, and now we have 5 more minutes of hockey.

Sabres are tired. The Olympic break couldn't come soon enough. I just hope our Olympians don't get completely worn out in Torino. Maybe the Hecht injury will keep him home. (looked like a twisted ankle to me) I'll settle for 1 point in the next two games, then refresh and reload for the playoff stretch.

UPDATE: Atlanta Beats Ottawa 2-1. Sabres gain a point on the Sens.
