The_Swannie_House Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Did anyone else just lose the online feed from WGR? yes! :censored:
inkman Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Did anyone else just lose the online feed from WGR? Yes. I'm guessing they have it programmed to automatically stop streaming when Rome is on but today Rome ISN"T on. :wallbash:
Quickdraw Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 In possibly a 3 way deal as per TSN Maybe we'll get Mike Grier back? <_<
shrader Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Yes. I'm guessing they have it programmed to automatically stop streaming when Rome is on but today Rome ISN"T on. :wallbash: That's what I'm thinking. I'm sure they've gotten a few emails already and will take care of it. Oh well, the TSN stuff is better anyway.
Assquatch Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Guerin to Sharks. Damn. The RDS website says team to be announced but does have a Sharks logo next to it. . .
Realist Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 yes! :censored: Go to tsn.ca, very good coverage on all that is going on
apuszczalowski Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Maybe we'll get Mike Grier back? <_< LOL, I was actually thinking that
nfreeman Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 On opening day they had ~$95k to play with. So, assuming all the Amerks that are up on the roster are covered by Timmy's salary, then the Sabres could afford Guerin (barely). As an aside, IF Timmy comes back in the regular season, in that scenario all the call ups would need to be sent back down to the AHL (assuming no one other than Gaustad is on BLTI-IR) until the regular season ends. So, if we trade for Guerin, and if Timmy comes back in the regular season, and if as soon as Timmy comes back, we send down ALL the call-ups, we are OK? If yes, this is what our forward lines look like as of the last game of the regular season: Briere-Hecht-Pominville Drury-Guerin-Kotalik Roy-Max-Vanek Connolly-Mair-Novotny healthy scratch: Peters, Paetsche If either Max or Kotalik can't go, Paetsche slides in. That's pretty GD strong. Go Sabres.
Taro T Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 TSN is running a trade tracking audio stream on their website.
X. Benedict Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Maybe we'll get Mike Grier back? <_< There's no way. San Jose's GM has been gushing all year about the difference MG has made to their team.

Goodfella25 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Well who is left that would require us giving up a 1st rounder? Not many players. Now I'm thinking we will keep that first rounder and move our 2nd or 3rd for a depth player or two...thoughts?
Quickdraw Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 There's no way. San Jose's GM has been gushing all year about the difference MG has made to their team. One can dream. I loved that guy.
apuszczalowski Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Now saying its only a 2 way deal for Guerin
LoveAndWarrener Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I'm hoping this isn't one of those head-scratching years a la Bob Corkum. There's got to be more to what we're doing than taking the downgrade at G for a draft pick.
shrader Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I'm sure Buffalo is bringing in somebody else, just have no idea who, yet. The Marty deal is pointless if they don't, so that much is obvious.
inkman Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Go to tsn.ca, very good coverage on all that is going on Audio? I went their and it said because I was outside Canada I couldn't view/listen.
Vaive22 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Seriously!!!!! Biron goes and the only goalie we get back is Ty Conklin??!!?? He stinks!!! I know he will only back-up Miller, but two things 1) what if Miller gets hurt are we confident in Conklin, 2) Do you feel confident in Conklin playing at least 6 games in March with all the back to back games they have. I would much rather have Belfour than Conklin, and the cost difference does not seem that big. Belfour has loads of experience, and cough-cough, has won a Stanley Cup. This player that they may get latter better be worthwhile, and better be Guerin - oops he is now a Shark.
UnionAMG Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Audio? I went their and it said because I was outside Canada I couldn't view/listen. Click on the link for "Real Time NHL Trade Tracker" It will bring up a window with an audio feed on it.
Assquatch Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Audio? I went their and it said because I was outside Canada I couldn't view/listen. I had the same problem until I realized I was clicking the wrong link. Click the one that says "Real Time NHL Trade Tracker" NOT the other one ne that says "Join the NHL on TSN crew for blah blah blah"

There's got to be more to what we're doing than taking the downgrade at G for a draft pick. There definitely is because think about it...there is no reason for Darcy to give away our goaltending insurance unless he is strengthening the team on D or at forward...and recall his statements to MSG that said something along the lines of "Well you have to decide, do you want strength in goal or strength somewhere else." The Biron trade proves he is ready to strengthen the team someplace else
meck20 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Probably the classiest guy on the team for the past few seasons especially the way he dealt with his "demotion." good luck marty

Ty Conklin is decent for a backup Belfour would have been a good choice, but it would have cost Buffalo much more, therefore he is not worth it
Quickdraw Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 You think maybe Regier was going after Guerrin but the deal got pulled from the table and handed to San Jose? Those whole thing could have been for nothing.
