Strow Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 we almost have enough people for the chat room "gasp"
MBD Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Why bring Drury back? Let him shake-it-off. BTW, what a freaking AWESOME 2nd period!!!!!!
Corp000085 Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 Is Drury Hurt? Did I miss something? as far as we know, drury is off getting stitched up... hope he didn't get woosy in the dressing room though. We need this guy for the 3rd. BTW, we entered the period down 2-1, we're now up 4-3 and on the PP. Um, and since when did kotalik and novotny's injuries hurt us? I'm getting at the play of stafford, ryan, and macarthur. These guys are good. Why bring Drury back? Let him shake-it-off. BTW, what a freaking AWESOME 2nd period!!!!!! cause we need to win this game??
bob_sauve28 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Too a late hit to the head lots of blood. Ray said he should be ok after getting fixed up but didn't come back. I would think we would hear more at the end of the 2nd. Thanks, I saw replay of hit, didn't know about the blood. I saw the fight and all just was worried about Drury, please don't let him be hurt.
Strow Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I just saw the hit on drury that was late and cheap.

These guys are good. Scary good? ;) And I still say save Drury. Maybe put him out there if they're down a goal. But with all the injuries lately, it's not worth the risk if he's not 100%.

I saw the fight and all just was worried about Drury, please don't let him be hurt. So what happened? I missed the 1st and half the 2nd. Miller didn't start? Big fight? Help!
wjag Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 How awesome it that we get to play again on Saturday. There's bad blood between these teams. It's like the playoffs..
wjag Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Drury out with head injury.. Too soon to start the "c" rumors?
bob_sauve28 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Scary good? ;) And I still say save Drury. Maybe put him out there if they're down a goal. But with all the injuries lately, it's not worth the risk if he's not 100%. Yes, scary good. And the future looks bright, too! As long as Drury comes back
Samson's Flow Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Scary good? ;) And I still say save Drury. Maybe put him out there if they're down a goal. But with all the injuries lately, it's not worth the risk if he's not 100%. agreed, this game is nowhere near as important as having drury 100% for later games. especially with the guys riled up already and playing hard (and well!) can't wait for mair to get off his 10 min misconduct to beat the hell out of neil. that will complete the night...
Claude Balls Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I'm not worried about Dru's cut. I'm more worried that he may have a concussion. He hit his head damn hard on that soft ice. P.S. I apologize to anyone I offended with my Heatly/Neil comment. Although that drunk Heatly is still a grade A scumbag for what he did years ago. My apology is only good to Sabres fans as well. Ottawa fans can Be-Low ME!!!
Corp000085 Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 does he have a nasty cut that interferes with his helmet, or does he have "The Connolly"?
JujuFish Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Man, I love the response by the Sabres and Ruff. Win or lose, this is my favorite game of the season so far. Now, go out there and win this one, guys!
Claude Balls Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Smart move keeping Dru out for rest of the night. Let the poor kid recover. We got the lead, now let's see how the boys react without their leader for the 3rd.
wjag Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Six guys hurt in six straight games... Hello Rochester, who you got?
Goodfella25 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 So what happened? I missed the 1st and half the 2nd. Miller didn't start? Big fight? Help! Go to NHL.com/scores for the boxscore/penalties Basically, Drury takes a shot, Neil comes across with a late hit that sends Drury to the ice and he is bleeding pretty good. Neil only gets 5 for fighting Stafford, who stepped in a stuck up for Drury (props to him). It was complete BS however, that Neil didn't even get 2 minutes for a late hit. So Lindy was pissed. Now as we know, the home team always gets the last line change before the faceoff...well Ottawa puts out Heatley, Spezza, and I think Comrie? Who does Lindy put out there??? Peters, Mair, Kaleta...as soon as the puck drops, Mair and Peters go after Ottawa, Peters grabbed Heatley around the neck like a pitbull on a poodle... Then for whatever reason Biron and Emery went at center ice, Emery was laughing through the whole "fight". Then as they break up and Peters is being led to the penalty box, he turn and grabs Emery and starts punching him... I need to see replays on the Neil hit but judging from the follow through on the hit, it looked like an elbow. Either way, a late hit is a dirty hit, especially on our captain and this team proved tonight that if you take liberties on our guys, you have to pay the price... ...oh and by the way, we got SCREWED on the penalties.
Rock DJ Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 does he have a nasty cut that interferes with his helmet, or does he have "The Connolly"? Not sure, but I think it's more for caution or the placement of the stitches more than an actual "out with injury"
McJeff215 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 CHris out for tonight Please oh Hockey Gods, make it just for tonight.
GrimFandango Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Is there a coach suspension rule for putting out the goons like that? I know there is something in the last few minutes or what not. My roommate mentioned that Ruff should be suspended. Frickin Minnesota fan.
Strow Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I would leave Dru out tonight to make sure that he doesn't get run again. 3rd period is gonna be just as physical I would think.

Rayzor playing peacemaker inbetween the benches... Lindy sustaining a "lower body injury" trying to attack the eurotrash coach of the sens. "Don't F--K with our captain"
Strow Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Those highlights stunk. I need a link to watch the whole thing.
