JujuFish Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 C'mon Gerber. Didn't you know you have to stop at least 8 to win the shootout? ;)
Peace Frog Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Sabres win!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!!!! Stafford & Miller, we're not worthy! :worthy:
Samson's Flow Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 and the rooks carry us home. DREW STAFFORD!! Miller has to be the best shootout goalie in the league. some of the saves he made are world class. way to go sabs!
wjag Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Amerks: 1 Ottawa: 0 Hey Ottawa, you got SLUGGED by the JV
MichFan Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 dare i suggest, best game of the year? Hell no. That's giving the Sens way too much credit. Buffalo just beat them with half an AHL franchise -- take that Sens fans -- half a freakin AHL franchise!
Knightrider Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 dare i suggest, best game of the year? That was what I was thinking...

DR HOLLIDAY Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 dare i suggest, best game of the year? You might be right man............
Crestwood Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 One for the ages, indeed. An absolute classic. The only thing better than watching the whole game on TV would have been being there in person. Can't wait for Saturday night. If there wasn't any bad blood between these teams before, there sure as hell is now. Let's hope Drury's OK, but what grit this "soft" team showed tonight. Oh yeah, best game of the year. Hands down.
Goodfella25 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 How about Drew Stafford tonight? He proved that he belongs here in Buffalo and in the NHL...he stands up for the captain by fighting a tough guy in Neil, and Stafford's not a fighter. Then he scores a huge goal in the shootout. Really impressive stretch for him this year, but tonight was the pinnacle, at least so far.
DR HOLLIDAY Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Let's hope Drury's OK, but what grit this "soft" team showed tonight. Oh yeah, best game of the year. Hands down. I agree man, I agree........
Corp000085 Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 provided drury isn't out, i'm totally OVER being worried about rookies in place of the injured regulars.
Ogie Oglethorpe Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Definitely an instant classic. I don't think I'll sleep tonight.
Goodfella25 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 provided drury isn't out, i'm totally OVER being worried about rookies in place of the injured regulars. I know what you're saying. They played fantastic last year, and then with the call ups this year, the organizational depth has showed again...but this is a different group of youngsters so consistency will be the question. One or 2 good games, sure, but we'll see after 5-10 games. They'll have more time to prove they are consistent because we have guys out for a long time.
Corp000085 Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 outstanding ESPNNEWS coverage! i'll have plenty to talk about with the guys at work tomorrow, who's entire hockey knowlegebase lies in the 30 seconds espn clips.
jad1 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 A bunch of rookies just told Regier that he doesn't have to make any trades. We'll see if Darcy listens.
imnotreallyscott Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I live in Connecticut. Tomorrow is "hat day" at the school where I teach. Tomorrow just became "Jersey and Hat" day for me. What a friggin game!!! Here's hoping we have some good news for Drury.

McJeff215 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Now *this* feel like my Sabres of November! We've been saying all along that they're beliving their own hype. Now that they're feeling "pressure" in that half the team is out, we're seeing them totally step up and do what that do. I feel good heading down the stretch!
Ogie Oglethorpe Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Now *this* feel like my Sabres of June! I fixed your quote!
imnotreallyscott Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I am SOOOO glad I have tivo!!!! Amen! This game will stay recorded for a long time!
