letsgobuffalo45 Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 That would be a pretty sick trade. If I'm Darcy, I take that in a heart beat.
PTS Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 WHAT? I'd never expect you to post something that stupid. Edit ... I get it now. B-)

I haven't read of any players signing a contract with a club option and was curious.
deluca67 Posted February 5, 2006 Author Report Posted February 5, 2006 DeLuca, I get the joke, but the post brought up one question. Are club options still acceptable under the new CBA? I haven't read of any players signing a contract with a club option and was curious. I never really gave it any thought. They might be gone. With the rules regarding restricted free agents there may just not be a need for option years. You could probably just tender them an offer if restricted. Also, Can teams still pay part of a contract of a plyer being traded away?
Taro T Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Can teams still pay part of a contract of a plyer being traded away? No. Players are not allowed to renegotiate contracts either.
