In the second half of a home-and-home series with Pittsburgh, goaltender Roger Crozier overcomes stomach problems from the day before to make 24 saves in the Sabres' 4-1 win over the Penguins in front of 15,668 at the Aud. Crozier had to leave the game the day before at the Igloo the Sabres rallied from a 3-1 deficit to end up in a 3-3 tie. The three points in four games put the Sabres back in fourth place in the eight-team Eastern Division, one point ahead of the Detroit Red Wings for the final playoff spot.

Close race - I hope they make it. It sure would be neat to make the playoffs for the first time in club history. Of course, even if they beat out the Wings they'd likely play the Habs in the first round. Most people wouldn't give them a chance to win a game.
