Lights-Out_Larry_Playfair Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 With the recent loss of Goose, the Sabres can use a little more toughness Right on the button! Bring on Tyson!
Corp000085 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 outstanding first post. Welcome to the board!
smith Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 gotta love the multiple high-fives on the way to the locker room...that's AWESOME!!
Corp000085 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 people rag on ray for not being a true heavyweight. I always read their valuable opinions, i respect their thoughts, but i always call BS. Rob Ray was one of the dominant fighters of his time and an MVP for the sabres through about 2-3 totally different style teams from the late 80's-early 2000's. The dude was money.
niagara66 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Damn! Rayzor's got a hell of a right. In both of them, the opponent was gamely throwing until the first time Rob connected anywhere near clean, then the other dude instantly went lights out!
Lights-Out_Larry_Playfair Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 No disrespect to todays fighters but... Have you noticed that a lot of guys today (Peters included) square up, dance around for a minute, and then fight like they're trying not to get hit? Those two Ray tilts are how the fighters used to go at it- Toe-To-Toe!

Yeah..to the point where they hold them at arms length with the left and have the right cocked WAAAY back and are looking away from the guy and down at the ice, taking shots to the back of the helmet...WTF?? I'd rather see Max go. At least he goes straight in swinging, win or lose. He's a scrappy little MF-er.
Done Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Nice! I forget how juiced the Aud could get. Really electric.
