sabres703 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Forward Taylor Pyatt is about to return from the injured list but he may not be in Buffalo very long. Sabres coach Lindy Ruff dropped a hint about a possible trade, telling the Buffalo News that it may take a new home for the player to realize his potential. "It may not happen here. A lot of players it's taken a second team or a third team and all of the sudden, [the light has] gone on," Ruff said. http://www.sportsline.com/nhl/story/NHL_SC-RUMOR
deluca67 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 If Gretzky, Orr or Jason Wooley can be traded why not Pyatt? That seems like Lindy is just being honest. I wouldn't read anything more into it. I doubt anything is pending. I'm sure Lindy will tell you anyone can be traded at any time if it helps the team.
Two or less Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I guess we could use a new bucket of pucks....
hopeleslyobvious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I guess we could use a new bucket of pucks.... I would imagine if he was traded he would be part of a package. So I hope we get more than a bucket of pucks.
Saber61 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I would imagine if he was traded he would be part of a package. So I hope we get more than a bucket of pucks. agreed... him and biron or him and noronen could make a pretty attractive package for some GM's.
hopeleslyobvious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 agreed... him and biron or him and noronen could make a pretty attractive package for some GM's. Especially if he continues to play like he did last night. Looked like he had a pretty good presence on the ice, especially in the offensive zone.
inkman Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 While the possibilty of a trade is always looming, I think Lindy was just trying to spark Taylor.
shrader Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Especially if he continues to play like he did last night. Looked like he had a pretty good presence on the ice, especially in the offensive zone. Just think of how much better the line would've been without that waste of space Peters out there. I can live with a 4th line of Pyatt-Gaustad-Paille for the next two weeks.
Two or less Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Seriously... although Peters will come useful against Toronto and the NYRangers !!I hope Peters just starts using Kasperities as a punching bag. lol
shrader Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Seriously... although Peters will come useful against Toronto and the NYRangers !!I hope Peters just starts using Kasperities as a punching bag. lol Peters is not useful against any team. Gaustad can fight. Mair can fight (if he ever comes back). Hell, even Grier will drop the gloves if he needs to (Kasparitis). All three of these players bring much more to the ice than just being willing to fight. Peters adds absolutely nothing. Hell, Peters has spent more time in the penalty box this year than he has on the ice (58 PIM, 55:08 ice time). What's the point?
hopeleslyobvious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Judging by how Kaspiritis reacted to challanges in the last game I highly doubt he would fight with Peters. Ha, after everything with Boulton last night, we should just have Vanek go after Kaspiritis (kidding).
Goodfella25 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I heard Pyatt wants to get traded to New York so he can go shopping in Manhattan for some new mascara and a new purse, because he dropped his on the ice last night.
Hsoj25 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 For his first game back in awhile, I was impressed with Pyatts play last night.

hopeleslyobvious Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 For his first game back in awhile, I was impressed with Pyatts play last night. Agreed. I noticed him a lot more than usual in the offensive zone.
