The injury puts Buffalo's starting goalie on the injured list and sets in motion a chain of events that changes the face of Sabres' goaltending for years to come. February 10, 1983 Playing in his 776th straight game for the Sabres, Craig Ramsay breaks his foot in a 7-2 loss at LA when he is struck by Larry Murphy's shot. Ramsay will miss 15 games, ending at that time the longest streak of consecutive games for one team in NHL history. February 10, 2001 Maxim Afinogenov scores off a mad scramble 1:52 into overtime to give the Sabres a 2-1 win in Ottawa. It's the second game in a row that Max has won a game in the extra session, the first time in Sabre history a player has done that. Dominik Hasek is in rare form, making 32 saves as the Sabres continue to own the Senators in close games.
