Corp000085 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 He's been ruled out and will be getting further tests to make sure nothing was severed. Ruff said he might be back on thursday for the oilers. What crappy luck! With that said, paetsch can fill in with spacek set to return. Hopefully gaustad only misses one game, but i wouldn't be suprised if he missed the next game too. A deep cut to the ankle probably needs to be 100% healed or nothing.
Crestwood Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Not having Goose out there will hurt, but it's a non-divisional, non-conference game in mid-February. Better for him to rest and heal now while there's no pressing need to have him in there.
gilbert1175 Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 yes, let's make sure that sucker is completely healed - the last thing we need is for him to have a McKee experience somewhere in the playoffs...

Especially when Gaustad is by far our most physical player and a big penalty killer.
