In fairness, they have hung him out to dry but he's not good either. He's barely serviceable. That rebound to end the second period was inexcusable.

'On paper', the Sabres have to be in the conversation. Bogosian, Vesey, & Simmonds (to a lesser extent, IMO) are addition by subtraction. Have fun with the Loafs, fellas.

The NHL lottery should be eliminated. If not, every team who had their spot jumped should get as many whacks with a stick at Bettman's nuts as spots they were jumped. If nothing else, it would make for good television.
