Terry Pegula is 72 years old. You'd think that of all of us, he'd be at the top of the "just one before I die" list. Apparently, he'd rather line his coffin with his billions than spend it trying to see a Stanley Cup hoisted in WNY during his last years on earth. This once proud franchise in a laughingstock, Terry, and the blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the obtuse dolt staring back at you in the mirror every morning. Yeah, the most disheartening thing to me in this whole saga of sadness (and there are many, many things) is the fact that the Sabres have lost a whole generation of potential fans due to a decade plus of organizational ineptitude and ambivalence. Much like the Bills' 17 year playoff drought, young kids had no interest in following a bad team which was providing little excitement or entertainment value. Last year whet some appetites and now this team is as frustrating as ever. They are testing the patience and dedication of even the most loyal of fans. Buffalo fans deserve much better and it's starting to feel like it may never happen. Prove me wrong Pegs, KA, & DG. Please.

To the bolded point, I have wondered for years how these teams manage to hide any of their intentions/secrets/trade conversations when they are packed onto the floor together elbow-to-elbow. It always seemed odd to me.

It was pretty sick, for sure.
