On the other hand there are a number of people who have said he has the most upside of any QB in the draft. Bills traded down, got 2 extra picks and got the guy they wanted. No one in Buffalo is ever happy. But I'm sure your friends know more about football than professional scouts.

LB depends if they can sign Dansby but that looks like it won't happen before today's picks so I think you are correct about a LB.

Remember Gil Perreault in his his first couple of years? The only times he went in the defensive zone was to pick up the puck behind the net. Give the kid some time.Wonder what the reaction would be if the trade was reversed and we traded Hodgson for Kassian and they were having the same years? Many would be blasting Regier for trading a potential No.1 center.

In the same way missing the playoffs does no good also.

I don't care who they play. I really would like to watch some playoff hockey with my team actually playing. I'll worry about the draft pick when the time comes. I miss playoff hockey.

You mean where either team can win? Is that how all games are?

I know NFL is only one game per week but the home team has to tell visitors what color they're wearing early in the week. Hockey needs to go back to white at home or home team choice.

Could be because Pominville and Vanek are not his linemates any longer. He's still out there playing hard but his linemates are not what I would consider 1st liners.

I'm not defending all fans and the atmosphere is bad, I know. Could be just the Buffalo mentality that something bad will and does happen. It's just there are times when booing or shows of disgust are deserved. I know it's a bit overboard at this point but this team is such a disappointment many are pissed off.

You make good points but I just don't get the big opposition to booing. What do you suggest we do when the expectations are high and this team constantly fails? I don't want to stop going to the games or watching because i love hockey. Same thing with the Bills. Do we just sit there quietly? I'm certainly not going to cheer poor play. I also recall on occasion Miller saying after a poor performance, "We deserved to be booed".

Yes, there is that element. I also understand that they're human and booing will affect them. Having said that, it is a game and they make a ton of money and booing goes with being a professional athlete. I have never booed my teams but I have yelled and screamed in disgust many times. Part of the game and Ott and everyone else needs to let it go.

Give me a break. Being a bit dramatic, aren't we? This team has sucked and underachieved for so long many of us are tired of it. If guys making a ton of money playing hockey can't take a bit of booing from frustrated fans they should think of a career change.

Like many here I've been around since the Sabres started and just want to clarify a few things. So when they can't get the puck out their own zone for 2-3 minutes , we are supposed to cheer and shout encouragement When they spend up to 2 minutes on the PP trying to just cross center ice and get the puck in the offensive zone, we should again cheer and offer encouragement. When on the same PP they give up another shorthanded goal to add to their league leading total..... And finally when they miss the playoffs once again we should just say we'll get 'em next year?

Bourque....I know of these guys as players but nothing as coaches. I think only Stevens is coaching. The others were just great players. Doesn't mean they make good coaches.

If Vanek is not re-signed he will be traded before he becomes an UFA.

They would have to do a lot of work to sign Pominville and Vanek and stay under the cap. They are tight against it now and both would need new deals. Hard to see them having all these big contracts.
