  1. McJesus hogs the puck instead of passing and has it stolen. lol
  2. That dog has to belong to a Panthers player.
  3. No, that was me. And while @...'s opinion on Mitts is rubbish, he's right there: I shouldn't have taken it to ad hominem.
  4. As opposed to Drouin and Parise? Lehkonen (11) - Mackinnon (14) - Drouin (3) Parise (3) - Mittelstadt (9) - Rantanen (14) Dude, just stop doubling down. You got nothin', really.
  5. tbh I've never bothered to rate who I think the best are. It's kind of like a mock draft.... not anything I can get excited about.
  6. My son had a brunch wedding- we rented a hall early in the day. After the brunch reception we invited everyone over to our house for Texas barbecue in the backyard. It was a great time. I hope all went well with your son's big day.
  7. If this is someone’s rooting interest…I mean damn lol It's the most tangible reason for a rooting interest in this thread.
  8. If Skinner is bought out, He gets his money. He can sign wherever he can strike a deal, regardless of what Sabres might want in return for a trade.
  9. But also: Is Jeff Skinner really that ineffective for the team? Is Zach Benson really as good as everyone says? They're nearly equal actually. Perception?
  10. ...except that if your new wife/head coach can't stand the timeshare/player you might have to just eat the loss.
  11. Yeah, I posted that list in another thread and someone corrected me. So for Eichel we got a first line wing/team leader, a 4C that may or may not work out, a promising prospect and a bottom 6 banger. I think that's good return for a player that, at the time, was disgruntled damaged goods.
  12. That description sounds like a younger Girgensons.
  13. XGMTM won every trade he made. He's a case study in why winning the individual trades aren't as important as putting together a good team.
  14. No one mentioned this blockbuster?
  15. Ah. No wonder I never heard of him. So we cashed in one of those Futures for a Present.
  16. A one-eyed man is king among blind men.
  17. He was dead for three games and then rose again!
  18. Yes, his scoring was down last year, but his scoring has always been up and down. He scored 24 goals/46 points last year. If you do a linear regression on his career, you would expect him to score 27G/52P this year. If you look at all seasons played under coaches other than Krueger, you would expect him to score 33G/63A this year.
  19. Friedman (paraphrasing): "I don't report stuff that's not 100%, but here's something I heard that's not 100%."
  20. Actually yes. My son is currently a teacher and considering doing exactly this once he finishes his data analytics degree. I have a good friend that bounces between teaching at a public school (her heart's passion) and working a civilian position at the Army Corps of Engineers (where she makes much more money). Part of the problem with keeping good teachers in the field is the administrative and political sides of teaching. There are a lot of BS rules that don't help a teacher effectively teach, and there is a constant push to reduce taxes and/or divert education tax dollars from traditional public schools to alternatives, which is not only why salaries are not commensurate with other industries but why public school resources are frequently not adequate. There should be no need for a $250 tax deduction to educators who buy supplies out of their pockets, but most spend more than that just to fulfill basic needs (like having tissues in a classroom during cold and flu season).
