Sure they have mass shootings in other countries. Then they enact gun control and the shootings stop. Only the US thinks gun control isn't needed. It's just stupid on our part as a nation.

Having everyone armed with guns in a society will hasten the loss of that society. ONLY in the US are there people who think more guns are the answer. The logical response to gun violence is gun control. EVERY other developed nation has implemented gun control in response to gun violence and EVERY other nation has seen success in reducing mass shootings. Stop loving your gun. It's destroying you.

Well the Republican Party does base a lot of its rhetoric in hate, demonizing others, and scapegoating, so this is not at all out of line. But ideology is driving them to act. News reports say he extensively researched other mass shootings and scouted and carefully chose the location. This isn't just the work of a single person with mental issues, it's the culmination of propaganda from ideologues. Did you know the same day as the Sandy Hook there was a similar attack in China? Instead of 22 dead like at Sandy Hook though, there were 24 wounded, but no fatalities, since the guy didn't have ready access to a gun so he used a knife. Yes bad people do bad things but guns help them do bad things much more quickly and efficiently. And have even MORE guns out in public? NO thanks.

I could see it during games. He never stopped working; he just wasn't doing anything that would bear fruit in a RFK-coached system. Pairing him with Tage and any competent winger (Tuch, Olofsson) and then just having them to what they did naturally was a breath of fresh air. Skinner and Tuch in particular are Lords of Chaos. When playing their best, they push the opposition hard and gobble up their mistakes. Having a guy with 3 times the reach of a mortal player as their center means that more of the chaos they create ends up on a Sabres stick.

Yep, and if you look at how Granato is trying to position Cozens you can see where the Sabres are trying to do this. He's setting a high draft pick up to be a defensive center. It helps Cozens because it takes the pressure off him for not scoring as much as he thinks he ought to, and gives him a role on the team. He may end up being a fine scorer but having that defensive C role covered is important. I don't think Granato is locking players into roles by any means, but he definitely knows what roles need to be filled and channels player development (as opposed to dumping a player and bringing in a known quantity) into filling them. It plays well into the whole "playing fore the team, for each other" philosophy, which is probably more important to winning it all than having pure star power.
