  1. Yeah but the Bills have a bye this week. We'll spend a few days admiring yesterday's win but the next Bills game is almost two weeks off.
  2. Could be lucky/small sample size or maybe he's finally putting it all together.
  3. Click the Youtube Share link at the point you want, and it gives you an option of "Start at"
  4. I think this early in the season he's still working to "develop" them. I don't think it means he believes in them; it's that he's given them the opportunity to grow into their roles. If they don't grow eventually there will be changes.
  5. Maybe he's investing in Mitts, trying to get him to get his confidence back.
  6. But they clicked in the AHL. The thought is put them in the combination where they've been successful. Donny seems to be trying it here and there (after PP/PK sequences I think); let's see if it becomes a more regular thing. I think this is somewhat by design; Donny Meatballs said he is encouraging them to "just play" but is making corrections in the locker room.
  7. Not now, but give him wingers he's comfortable with.
  8. Prediction time: The first line will break out during the west coast swing.
  9. ....which, as we know, was the plan all along.
  10. They already have been in the regular season. I think the benefit of it is that putting Krebs at center with wingers that are younger than him and with whom he's already played, will activate Krebs and his play; it will make him a driver not a passenger.
  11. TAGE THOMPSON IS FINE
  12. Skins - Tage - Ollie Mitts - Cozens - Tuch Quinn - Krebs - Peterka Z - Asplund - Okie I think this is what Granato will go to with his first line shuffle. The top line will figure it out. Mitts is trying but bless his heart it's not clicking; try him on the wing with play-driving linemates. Q -K -P played as a line in the AHL playoffs, no? Give them sheltered minutes but let them grow together. The fourth line is solid.
  13. This would be a good one:
  14. Would he even play on this roster? He might slot over Bryson.
  15. I will miss this one. Made plans to visit my son and his lovely wife Saturday; didn't realize at the time the Sabres had an afternoon game.
  16. I mean woof. He looked every bit like a rookie d-man. Consider that when he came to the Sabres, he was at the end of a playoff run at the college level. Everything was working and natural and it carried over. Yesterday was the beginning of his season and it will take a little longer to get up to NHL speed for him, I think, than most veterans of the league.
  17. Definitely takes some getting used to. After a while it will become something our brains actively ignore but right now the novelty of the ads is very distracting. I know, I know....
  18. You sound like a friend of mine. Here's a picture of him (foreground) in his office.
  19. It was up in all its glory early (right after the game, for an hour or two)
  20. Okay so he's not for everybody. What I like about the guy is that he's kind of a gauge of how non-Sabres fans feel about what's happening in Buffalo (he lives in the Vancouver market and likes the Canucks; secondary teams are Dallas and Boston). And the Sabres are playing three rookies in prominent roles. It will take a while for them to adjust, and for the whole team to get their timing down.
  21. He doesn't watch every game. He watches as much as he can and then watches stretches of games on replay or the highlights. Plus on busy nights his wife helps out. It's his fulltime job at this point. He does go through the stats as well, and he did talk about the tribute.
  22. I heard that. It's why I made that remark. #GranatoShill
