  1. I think he will be on the roster by the end of the season.
  2. I like the way the Sabres were posting up on the bodies in front of the net.
  3. Hey I just noticed I have this for the first goal: And now this for the second goal: Or maybe that second one was:
  4. Apparently the sound is on at the arena but not on the stream.
  5. Watched the first period but was busy cooking dinner. It'll be ready shortly and I'll enjoy with a fine local Schwartzbier.
  6. Per Mike Harrington in the Buffalo News:
  7. Not at all. If a player's natural position is center, he just might not "get" wing. With Tage they attributed it to not being able to use his size along the boards, but it can be a mental thing too. Ask Krebs. Ask Donny Meatballs.
  8. Coming from you that means... not much at all.
  9. ...because that worked so well for Tage....
  10. Anderson's playing... at least I think I read that somewhere. It's interesting actually... is Comrie the 1A and the battle for backup is between UPL and Andy? In an interview Andy said he feels like he needs to fight for his ice time and that's a good thing. He embraces the competition and if the other guy turns out better it makes for a better team, but he has to be ready to step in. I kind of see Anderson as very potentially the 3rd goalie, if not right away, at some point during the season. I think he stated as much in the past.
  11. Nice thing about being a 7th round pick: You have no expectations of playing on a scoring line. If he saw 4C as his ticket to the NHL he absolutely would embrace the role and possibly elevate it with some scoring.
  12. There are party tents that are lower than that, but yeah. Drive through the barrio during graduation season and you see these all over the place.
  13. I lived in Detroit in the 1990s and they had a pipeline like that. It was a direct contributor to their dynasty of making the playoffs 25 straight years (if memory serves) and 3 Cup wins. Basically, Tomas Holmström would be injured and they'd stick in Johan Franzén and barely miss a beat. It was almost exciting when someone got injured because a lot of the time it was a chance to see the latest mature prospect and frequently they stuck with the big team for years. When you have such a deep prospect pool you can weaponize it to trade good veteran players to receive players in positions of need back, plus if they're on ELCs or modest bridge deals it frees up cap for the big free agent signings.
  14. Recent history is that most Sabres captains have been traded. I might, however, point out that this may be a byproduct of the rapid changes the Sabres have gone through in the last decade +.
