No. The team is mandated to make that offer. Once they do that, they own his rights even though he's unsigned. No one can put a gun to your head and make you sign a contract.

Old Guys™ have that covered: If you don't feel you can ride your age, some guys ride 100 - their age, a more realistic goal as we get old and decrepit. Between Friday's ride and this morning's breakfast ride, I covered 96 miles over a 30 hour span. (A friend of mine did three times that in the same time frame.)

After I posted that, I drank some chocolate milk, a coupla Gatorades and then I walked my dog 3 miles. By then I was ravenous so I went for a Tommy's burger.

You mean SCARY GOOD, right? Right?

Rode my age today. I'm 61 and rode 62.1 miles. Woof, I'm tired! So far today I've consumed: A cappuccino, a spinach & cheese croissant, and two beers. I'm bushed! Out to the edge of town: Breakfast at mile 18: Liquid lunch at mile 52: Downtown:

How many fan actually read Pronman? I don't, unless he's mentioned here.

Well, at this point, everyone talking definitions and points of law are being overly pedantic. -

The vehicle being passed moved to the left, so the SUV passed it on the right (where the riders were)? I ride quite a bit, and I hate riding on rural two lane roads. https://maps.app.goo.gl/AmFi5uPkijh61R8J8 -
I haven't ridden my fixed gear bike in almost a year. The front wheel was borked and frankly I was afraid I might collapse it if I kept riding it. This week I rebuilt it with new spokes and the existing hub and rim. I went from radial lacing to a 3-cross pattern which gives it better resistance to brake torque. Took it out for a quick 12 mile shakedown ride tonight; the wheel did well. I had forgotten how much I like riding fixie.

So the games in Europe will not be televised by a national network?
-
Yeah, almost as good as Mittelstadt. Too soon?

I see it differently. The accountability is between Skinner and the organization in this case. He was held accountable by being bought out. What happens (or not) after that is irrelevant with respect to Jeff Skinner. So... an improvement over past seasons then.

Huh, I had no idea; I thought the Stars would still be on Bally. I guess I need to line up Victory+ to watch them play in Buffalo.

I pretty much ignored the framing, just thought it was a fun video.

Awwww... Just when I think I have you figured out you show me your big softy side. Thanks, PA, and everyone else for the condolences. This was the best dog we ever had.

I really didn't want the last thing he saw to be the inside of a vet's office. He hated going to the vet.

Brawndo made a call when he saw he was scooped.

Ah yes, I've experienced that thrill. Very rare.

So Mike says... Depth piece I suppose. Possibly Krebsie's replacement?

In the wee hours of the morning we said goodbye to Winston, our dog of 14 years. He was truly the best dog. He'd been losing mobility for most of the year and as of yesterday morning could not get up without help. He also barely touched his breakfast. By dinnertime he could no longer stand at all, even with help, and refused food and water. I've seen that before; it's a clear sign they're ready to cross over. My son slept on the floor with him; he said Winston got restless at about midnight he sat up and put Winston's head in his lap which calmed him down. Shortly after that my son noticed Winston had stopped breathing. The last picture I have of Winston before he passed: And to brighten up an otherwise dire post, here he is in better days doing zoomies on the sofa. I'll miss you Winston. You were the best dog ever.

I'm going with he gets bumped down to the AHL and becomes an AHL regular, with occasional callups to account for injuries. He's the Matt Ellis of this roster.
