  1. I wonder if they are looking to put two rookie wingers with an experienced center (see Cozens line) and are wanting the experienced center to be one of Krebs or Mitts. It would explain putting each of them on a "development plan" of sorts. (and yes I know most of the rookies next year will be natural centers but I still think they'd put them at wing to begin)
  2. I thought he tried hard but he was out of sync with them.
  3. Is he? I think he's proving right now that's not the case.
  4. I think the Sabres have 3 "top pairing" level Dmen. Obviously only two can truly be top pair so the third (currently Power) is on the second pair. I would like to see the other three Sabres D be "2nd pairing" level such that when there are injuries we're not playing with a bunch of bottom pairing and AHL D. We saw that in November and it sucked. So ideally like to see: 1st pair level - 1st pair level 1st pair level - 2nd pair level 2nd pair level - 2nd pair level 3rd pair level as an extra. Maybe the deficient D play we saw with injuries won't be as bad in the future with Muel and Power having another year of experience and if Donny actually starts prioritizing team defense and not just team offense. But really I think they need better personnel. I'm not as in much of a hurry to upgrade the forward ranks because the Rochester boys will be knocking the doors down. Some rugged forward experience would be good but I don't think a real splash is needed at forward. Given the situation in goal, I wonder if Kevyn is in talks with Levi about signing mid-season and jumping right to the NHL? Or does everything think he needs some time in the A to adjust to the pro game?
  5. Do I want to read @Spoonman's moronic post or leave him on Ignore? Decisions, decisions.
  6. Capitals goalie Charlie Lindgren had 4 wins last week.
  7. I'd be okay with that too. Just not Mitts. Krebs centering JJ & Quinn was an excellent line in the AHL. If it clicks here it could make the Sabres a three line team when Skins gets back.
  8. I thought it was pretty clear that Casey doesn't work on Thompson's wing. Donny Meatballs... seriously, come on. Mitts to 4C, Krebs to 2C, Cozens to 1LW
  9. I was thinking about this: The benefit, though, is that even if you see a post after someone else has responded to the troll, at least it wasn't you getting dragged in. Someone else took the hit.
  10. My son is a member of they Plano (TX) Civic Chorus. We drove the hour over to Plano to attend their Christmas concert which is why I missed the game Friday. If anyone cares, here are a couple clips: Still, Still, Still Santa Claus is Coming to Town And after the concert, here's a pic of us: L to R: My son's wife, me, my wife, and my son who sang in the concert.
  11. Penguin Mammaries? I didn't know birds had bewbs.
  12. But you did watch it, didn't you?
  13. The way I saw it Cozens was hit shoulder-to-shoulder and was going down anyway before he tripped over Letang's leg. If it were Dahlin applying the hit everyone in Sabrespace would have called it good.
  14. Donny should just march the team off the bench. It's tough when you take Skinner off that line.
  15. Ranch Dressing Lovers Hall of fame list there fify
  16. He's evolving a bit, at least with his current partners. More willing to hold the puck and shoot than always looking for the pass first. I think that's what his game needs.
  17. Are people watching on ESPN+ in other cities getting those LAME-O Burker King commercials where they make the old '70s advertising jingle sound like a funeral dirge?
