So it was a good draft but primarily because they got lucky on the dice roll that was Olofsson.

Just because they're there for one-timers doesn't mean they're pinned to a spot. Look at the VO goal recently on a 2-on-1 when he was fed by Boosh. They were both flying down the ice and VO one-timed it. Also, the three way passing play from Skinner to Tuch to Tage that was one-timed in. What I would like to see is the Sabres doing one of those choreographed post-game cellies like the Canes do... y'know, to mock them in defeat.

Also in the 1990s matchups between the Red Wings and Avs, I think the team that won the season series lost in the playoffs every time. In the...97? Conf Champions there were even a pair of 6-0 games with each team beating the other team soundly in consecutive games. Playoffs are weird but I think a Sabres team playing with house money might be chaotic enough to disrupt the expected order of things.
