I just want the team to win. If they win more than all the teams between them and the playoffs to a great enough extent, they're in. I'm not going to worry (as much) about the other teams; I just want the Sabres to win. If they do enough of that, the rest of the league will take care of itself.

To me he's only worth the schadenfreude. I love to see him cry.

I expect that, as well as the maturation of the Cozens line, to happen this season which is why I'm still bullish on playoffs this year. You don't like dressing in suits made from curtains from cheap bordellos?

Their footing was a lot worse than the Bills' was once the snow started. Right, but when it counted it affected them.

It just occurred to me that the Bills scored 10 points with 0:00 on the clock at the end of a half.

Mitts does appear to be on the upswing but Skinner is still a huge upgrade over Casey.

Yeah, for anyone who says Skinner isn't that good... they're wrong. He's more than just goal scoring though. He draws penalties, he plays an unorthodox style that befuddles opponents (and sometimes his own coaches, current coach excluded), he gets under opponents skins and in their heads.

We haven't had that since Briere/Drury. Even Jack didn't provide that.

I wasn't really comparing the Sabres to Detroit. I just misread the line in my post when I said we had three games in hand over the last WC spot; I accidentally read the Detroit line. That's all. And then everyone corrected me and that's where all the Detroit chatter came from. Yes we know Detroit isn't the ultimate target.

Honestly the Cozens line seemed to be our worst line. Although they didn't score, the Girgs-Krebs-Okie line looked really good; Krebs is bringing an offensive dimension to that line and I think it's only a matter of time until we see some scoring from them. Mitts looked better with Jost and Ollie than previously, but I still think there's a mismatch between Ollie and Mitts. Maybe swap Girgs with Ollie to give the Krebs line better finish and give some Gus-jam to Mitts-Jost. Triple! Bandits won too!

I had two TVs going. The Sabres played a game that frustrated the Yotes. For the most part they gave them no time or space. In the first and third periods we outshot them nearly 2-1; in the second period the Yotes outshot us slightly. Dude, that's harsh.

3-2 now with 11:30 left. Go VGK! 🤢 Isles in Alamo mode.

Yeah, caught that. The Wings are tied with us and have three games in hand. Plus the Sabres are 3 points behind the Isles with no games in hand. Still... we're in the mix.
