  1. Once again, a sound defensive play by Tereshenko in his own end. I had no idea he has such a great two-way game.
  2. He is a lot more than just... another guy. With the Sabres he was whatever we needed him to be in the top 9. 3C? 1C? 2C? Winger? He's also developed a pretty solid 2-way game. When he was traded he was leading the Sabres in scoring. I think the Sabres could use just another guy like that.
  3. I'm thinking Bob did a coupla lines of coke before the game. The only way to keep up with McJesus.
  4. The Panthers must do 20 minutes of stick tip/block drills during every practice. EDM can't make more than one pass in a row.
  5. I want to see McDavid shut out this series: No goals, no assists, no points.
  6. You have a strange definition of JAG.
  7. I'd be happier about a Tkachuk for Power trade than I am about the Byram for Mitts trade.
  8. The hate of the fans for the team and the moves it makes is anything but sudden.
  9. I've had my Fiat 500 for 10 years now, no plans to replace it. I like the stick shift; not sure I'll ever own another stick shift car with the push to hybrids and electrics and stuff. People think its small and its overall dimensions back that up, but it actually has more head room than a Camery. Thanks to the pandemic I still haven't cracked 80,000 miles yet. I do enjoy driving it around the city.
  10. Eh, maybe Kulich. I think Savoie has more upside.
  11. Same, except I don't use a u in favorite. I don't have an Eichel jersey from that time, I have a Reinhart. I like ERod. He was a good utility player for the Sabres, could move up and down the lineup. He's playing on the FLA's second line and doing well there. I like Okie too. I can even accept that he was flawed as a captain but still like him as a player and as a person.
  12. He didn't want to be part of another rebuild. Maybe the Ottawa rebuild timing doesn't match up with Tkachuk's timeline.
  13. Why did we trade Eichel? (Hint: It had nothing to do with his neck injury).
  14. Each of the Star Wars movies has a subtitle. The first film, commonly known as Star Wars, is "Episode 4: A New Hope" The whole concept was a trilogy of trilogies, nine films altogether, and they jumped in at Episode 4. Episodes 1-3 are the prequels with Young Annakin.
  15. Oh, I've had dreams like that. I won't "dream" every twist and turn; it's more like I come in toward the end with all the background somehow established in my dream memory. As the dream progresses, details fill in.
  16. As an inhabitant of Tornado Alley, weather forecasters are a lifeline. And on the important stuff they're very good. When you look back at severe weather events and compare to the predictions, they usually track quite well.
  17. For us 'muricans, that's 122°F!
  18. It's starting to feel like central Florida here in north Texas. Seems like every afternoon we get a thunderstorm rolling through. I think that cycle ended yesterday though; forecasts are for minimal rain in the foreseeable future. I've enjoyed the rain, enjoyed the cooler than normal temps. It'll start really heating up now I fear. But the rain has helped the new plants I planted, and the sod I put down, to get established. Now if it doesn't make in the next three months it might just make it.
  19. The first one I watched was The Empire Strikes Back, and that was at a drive-in (i.e., not first run) and I wasn't even that interested in the movie (if you know what I mean). I didn't watch A New Hope in its first run because I saw it as a "kiddie movie" (probably owing to the marketing of Star Wars merch during Saturday morning cartoons). At 14 years old when it came out, I was "too old" for that stuff.
