  1. I saw a tweet suggesting that the game not be played at all and that the AFC championship be at a neutral site.
  2. Considering what the fund was started for, it seems like establishing a trust for scholarships for students from his hometown would be a logical step. (Provided he doesn't require long term care himself.)
  3. Those little boogers can make a lot of unpleasant noise.
  4. About as valid as yours. Promo cited a better example but the point is the same.
  5. And he's got a better record in those games than Andy. This is, I think, precisely what Kevyn was hoping for with Comrie. I still have hope for Comrie coming in and battling for, and earning, ice time with the other two goalies. If we could have the current UPL and a competent Comrie as 1A and 1B next season, and a bit more experience on defense, continued output from the Tage line and consistent scoring from the Cozens line.... wow we'll be good. I would love to see a rolling average of Buffalo goalie stats for this season. I think it would show that they've got excellent goaltending except for during the 8 game losing streak when nothing on the team was working anyway.
  6. Yeah, and gremlins might have let the air out of my car's tire last night. We don't have enough information to rule that out so we should discuss the possibility incessantly.
  7. Hell, do it in Hamilton every year. One year call it a TO home game, next year Bflo home game. It would be like the college football OU-UT "Red River Shootout" held annually in Dallas/Arlington, which is about midway between Austin and Norman.
  8. As a Buffalo expat, in many ways the answer to that question is yes, actually. Diplomatically Buffalo is a part of the U.S., but in many ways it's more Canadian in nature than American.
  9. Maybe you should ask Jeremy Roenick or Craig Rivet.
  10. Yeah, Roenick and Craig's anti-vax stance turned me off from them a while ago.
  11. Watching In the Crease from last night on ESPN+. PK Subban said it: Tage MVP. He did say he was, but he said don't be surprised.
  12. To get the once in a generation Jack.😅 You mean Fragile Jack? With a few days off it would be a good time to try some other things.
  13. The Hockey Guy's recap (cued up to our game). "Luukkonen is a really good goaltender."
  14. I read the whole article. Any of the names that interest me as players are either on contracts that have too much term for too much money, or are ancient, or will require too much in return. No one really jumps up and says, "Pick me! I'll make the Sabres better!" to Kevyn.
  15. Really? When I click that link this is what I see: Without rewatching it, my take was he was very reserved and talked about the importance of the team being a bright spot for the city when the city's suffered setbacks this year, that it was kind of a duty of the team to give back to the city in tough times.
  16. Tuch was a name I never even noticed when he was with VGK. I know (now) he was a first round pick (same year as Reinhart) but he was a nothingburger to me. He tips the ice with his hard skating, power forward style but I still figured he'd be a middle six guy. I eventually realized he was a natural and necessary component of Thompson's line, but this last little stretch he's been really demonstrating really what a high skill player he is. His assist on Tommer's second goal was about as impressive as some of Tage's stickhandling. He received a pass at the blue line with a Cap on his back, bumped down to the corner to try to find space; instead he got double teamed and even though the Cap defenders got touches on the puck he still managed to maintain enough control to slide it out to Tage. Not very many players in this league can make a play like that. He's second in goals, second in points on a team that's scoring the most goals per game in the league. Kind of crazy.
