Trust me, that's just a sample. And I included that many because I think it's interesting to hear what he's said about the talent drafted over the past few years. Takes a while to get through it (but hey, it's the offseason) but I thought it was interesting.

For those of you who were unaware of where that remark came from, this is from the 2022 draft, when asked basically what it was like to work with Kevyn (after having worked with JBott previously). He clearly thinks Kevyn is a better GM as far as listening to his own people. Cued up to the right spot:

I bet he cried again. Do you not know? He's been head of amateur scouting for years.

He was not considered much of an NHL prospect prior to his signing. If he was, he'd have been drafted. That's my entire point. I'm not saying he didn't earn his way onto the roster. (But back in those days, making the Sabres roster wasn't saying much, after the cupboard had been wiped clean.)

That's obvious now. My point was that 9 seasons ago many people thought any college production he had was due to Eichel and that he, himself, was not NHL caliber. It wasn't obvious 9 years ago, as evidenced by the fact that he went undrafted.

As a native WNYer living in Texas, I get summer force-fed into me, way too much of it. I enjoy rainy weather.

So obvious that no NHL team drafted him.

The Panthers game frustrates opponents, especially when they're leading.

What's in it for the Caps? What benefit do they derive from this? I don't get it.

I usually agree with your takes, but in this case I'm just gonna call you wrong on this one and move on. 😛

Dude's name drives me nuts. Every game I see where he's playing, it sounds like the announcer is saying "Erik Sinneck" and I have no idea who this Sinneck guy is. He's not on the roster. That's the way I perceived his spoken name the first time I heard it and I can't deprogram it out of my head.

Tereshenko is a UFA after the season. I wouldn't mind having him in the Sabres middles six.

Once again, a sound defensive play by Tereshenko in his own end. I had no idea he has such a great two-way game.
