It's a different top line with Quin in Tuch's spot, but it's still a legit NHL top line. It might be even more dangerous. This is significant because when Tuch returns you're either inserting him on one of the lower lines and elevating them, or you're bumping Quinn down and basically doing the same thing. I think a Mitt-Cozens-Quinn or Tuch line will be absolutely frightening to opponents.

The Dunleavy Era has begun. I *do* like his calls. I think because he started during the frustrating Eichel Era and he had to share time with RJ (which was not the plan when they hired him), there was too much comparison between the two and frankly the game to call was awful. Now that the Sabres are something Dan is finding his game. He's excited about the Sabres and it shows.

The Dahlin penalty with the repercussions.... Someone mentioned that Olofsson really wants to be a Sabre. I believe it. Olofsson was there in Dahlin's defense. Skinner is Skinner; I love having him on this team. I know Mittelstadt has his flaws, but mark my words when playoffs come he will be a warrior.

Rewatching the game... watching the Buffalo feed this time. Impressions so far: Once Tage scored the Sabres carried the play, both scoring and physically. I think Stillman is a necessary piece of this team. The hip check in the second period was fantastic. Just saw the Hinostroza goal and I have to say I think there's some strong chemistry between Mitts and Cozens. They kept that play alive a long time before the feed to Vinny. Peterka is oh-so-close to breaking out. It will happen, if not this season, next.

I think the thing that makes it the finest rock album in my view is the production quality of it. The music is good, the lyrics mind-blowing, but the way it's all put together is just outstanding. Kudos to a young Alan Parsons, the album's engineer.

March 1st was the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, possibly the best rock album of all time (in my opinion anyway).

Live look-in of the new guy arriving in Rochester: -
Girgs has been looking more dangerous offensively lately, scoring against the Caps and having a few other good chance. Also, as a high forward for a pinching defenseman there's very little drop off compared a real Dman. I would say if you played him on D he'd slot in at 5 or 6 in our current lineup. He'd never get skated around to allow an OT winner by Pominville, for instance.

I think Kyle has played out the string. His contract is up this year. He will choose to retire and possibly take on a position as a development coach or scout or some such if he wants to stay with the club. I think if the team makes the playoffs this season he can hang up the skates knowing he was a part of the rebuild that got them there. If he gets to 30 goals he'll have plenty of value. That's why he plays.

He was one of the bright spots under Krueger scoring 20 goals in 54 games. If you feature him, he will score. His problem with respect to the Sabres is they have plenty of offensive talent to feature, and Victor doesn't have an all around game that fits with Granato's scheme. Throw him over the wall to a franchise that's got nothing on offense and they'll be glad to have him. Depends on the competition. If we're likely to get into a track meet, play Vinny. If you're playing a heavy team, Greenway.
