Maybe he's dinged a bit too? That's starting to change for the Sabres. Their deadline deals were with defense and toughness in mind. Also, Lyubushkin is stepping up in that department. I think EDM might be surprised at how the Sabres can be tough AND talented. Oh crap. Just read Stillman and Muel are both out.

Holy moly. We had windows replaced in our house for about $12k (although we have a couple more to do.... I have a couple of those louvered windows that I thought were cool and added to the character of the house, but the mechanisms are failing and I'm afraid I won't be able to close them if I open them). Plus I want to get our sliding glass patio door replaced; it's old and heavy and hard to operate because the rollers are worn out. @Spoonman hasn't volunteered, nor would I ask him to; he just started a new job. Mostly just me and my sons.

We have to get the rest of the lowers out... the sink cabinet will be tricky because I have plumbing feeds coming up from below and going into the wall (for the outdoor faucet). Then we will replace the drywall where the backsplash tile is. We will replace it with new tile after we get the cabinets up. This is the pattern we've got picked out.

My son came over Saturday to help with the demolition. Productive, destructive lad: Together we got all the upper cabinets down.

I have one or two albums by Miles Davis (Kind of Blue is amazing), but maybe I need to expand that part of my library.

It's a different top line with Quin in Tuch's spot, but it's still a legit NHL top line. It might be even more dangerous. This is significant because when Tuch returns you're either inserting him on one of the lower lines and elevating them, or you're bumping Quinn down and basically doing the same thing. I think a Mitt-Cozens-Quinn or Tuch line will be absolutely frightening to opponents.

The Dunleavy Era has begun. I *do* like his calls. I think because he started during the frustrating Eichel Era and he had to share time with RJ (which was not the plan when they hired him), there was too much comparison between the two and frankly the game to call was awful. Now that the Sabres are something Dan is finding his game. He's excited about the Sabres and it shows.

The Dahlin penalty with the repercussions.... Someone mentioned that Olofsson really wants to be a Sabre. I believe it. Olofsson was there in Dahlin's defense. Skinner is Skinner; I love having him on this team. I know Mittelstadt has his flaws, but mark my words when playoffs come he will be a warrior.

Rewatching the game... watching the Buffalo feed this time. Impressions so far: Once Tage scored the Sabres carried the play, both scoring and physically. I think Stillman is a necessary piece of this team. The hip check in the second period was fantastic. Just saw the Hinostroza goal and I have to say I think there's some strong chemistry between Mitts and Cozens. They kept that play alive a long time before the feed to Vinny. Peterka is oh-so-close to breaking out. It will happen, if not this season, next.

I think the thing that makes it the finest rock album in my view is the production quality of it. The music is good, the lyrics mind-blowing, but the way it's all put together is just outstanding. Kudos to a young Alan Parsons, the album's engineer.

March 1st was the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, possibly the best rock album of all time (in my opinion anyway).
