Don't know whether to be happy (for him) or sad (that the Sabres have injury trouble while trying to keep playoff hopes alive).

Yeah I missed the last two as well. Friday night I was at a soccer game (the HS where my wife teaches is in the playoffs and she didn't want to go alone) and they won! Saturday my son was over helping me on the kitchen remodel so we worked on through the game. I plan to watch tonight; we'll see.

The microwave is back in place and working. All of the base cabinet frames are in, most of the wall cabinet frames are in. I will probably get the rest the cabinets up and start putting in doors and drawers but the next big thing is getting the countertops done so I can install the sink. Once we get that point we'll have a fully functional kitchen again.

I got the corner cabinet and sink cabinet all figured out and joined together. The trim between them came out just the way I hoped and they're very solid now.

Progress. I got the sink cabinet with the tricky water feeds installed. Dishwasher is fully installed and will be functional as soon as I have a drain (...if I only had a drain!)

If this is the case I hope they give him a little tribute of some sort before the season ends. Call it Captains Day if you must and honor all the As (including the fill-in As) was well as the C.

We also needed scoring. Scoring is probably the hardest thing to get, and we've got it now, with more in the pipeline.

Mrs. Doohickie showing off her first new cabinet. This monster, just the empty shell, weighs over 100 pounds: I got a second one up as well. I think they will go faster as we go. The next two cabinets will require some modifications though, so those will take some time.

"No, you're right." I'm looking forward to the ascent of not only the Sabres, but those two teams as well. The day will come, and soon I hope, when Tampa Bay, Bahston and TO fade (although TO isn't really past peak yet).

Meh.

Time to go built some IKEA cabinets.
