  1. Dang.... loose puck they blow the whistle. Hard to beat 5 skaters and 4 officials.
  2. Umm... Donny, wtf kind of coverage are you rolling out there?
  3. No but you just keep yammering on about what you don't like about the schedule and it gets tiresome (just like @GASabresIUFAN always complains about goalies and Dmen). It's like a broken record and brings nothing new to the discussion. We get it: You're too cheap to pay for all the programming options and you want the world to conform to your whims. Grow up.
  4. So if someone gets hurt in warmups.... Asplund plays D? Actually, Asplund to the fourth line, Girgensons to D. He's the one forward that plays sound D when defending a rush, game in, game out.
  5. Oh no. Another losing streak about to start?
  6. Yes it is. Then again he plays in the TV market where I live so maybe I'm biased. He's a pretty damned good player.
  7. While it is cheaper, I did enjoy the pre- and postgame coverage on the old NHL.tv. It was worth the extra money to me. Maybe the Bally Sports ballyhoo will help bring about change where the MSG pre- and postgames will air on ESPN+ next season.
  8. Just get ESPN+ for two months. It will cost you $20 total (you might get first month free even), ya friggin cheapskates.
  9. I think BPA fades quickly after the first 5 picks or so, and by the later rounds for sure. Part of that is that the consensus BPA gets fuzzier as you move down the prospect list.
  10. And in the Sabres case, the forward group is coming together nicely. Can you imagine if we had yet another forward, but one less stud defenseman? Ugh.
  11. If he continues to demonstrate soft hands Power might prove to be a great 6'-6" net-front guy.
  12. You don't know what Power's ceiling is. It could be higher than Dahlin's. To put it another way if I told you Cozens would outscore Thompson at some point, would you be surprised?
  13. The Hockey Guy's take on the WC race in the East. (Spoiler- he is of like mind with many of the posts in the last page or so.)
  14. If he keeps getting traded, his final team will only owe him enough to get a coffee and a donut at Timmy Ho's.
  15. Maybe there's an equivalent to Godwin's Law relating to Linus Ulmark. Heil Ullmark!!! (but only on Sabrespace)
  16. I think Kevyn learned a lot from that experience. He messed and he knows it.
  17. Probably a combination of change of scenery, a fresh set of coaching eyes on him, and the competition from Swayman, caused him to re-evaluate his game. I don't think that reflects one way or the other on the coaching he got in Buffalo. If he'd been in Boston the whole time, would he have also developed the goaltending habits he did with the Sabres? Would there been another hole in his game that leaving Boston would fix? Interesting conversation, but that's about all it is to me. And how could you listen to the Bahston broadcast without your ears bleeding?
  18. The Sabres didn't give up on Ullmark; it was the other way around.
  19. Because of the way O’Reilly’s contract was structured, it only cost Minnesota $75K in actual cash to retain 25% of his salary in order to acquire a 4th round pick. To clarify, this his AAV for Salary Cap is $7.5 million. His actual pay for this season is $6 million, made up of a $5 million signing bonus (already paid) and $1 million in salary. When traded his remaining salary for the 26 games the Leafs had left was $319,000, 25% of which is $79,000 (give or take, rounding, etc.)
