Bring Savioe up, then put him on Ice when Quinn returns

It seems like a greater percentage of defensive prospects come from Europe, compared to offensive prospects. So they tend to be invisible until they show up in Rochester.

So.... Mittlstadt's brain in Tuch's body? If he can develop some hockey sense he could be a good one I guess. And if he didn't have few warts he would have been selected on Day One.

"...he’s probably the best leader I ever played for." Pretty high praise for Krebs and it's really pretty interesting that leadership/character seems to be just as important as talent to Kevyn. That's how you build a locker room culture.

So you know it would piss off the moderation team.

A Top 4 Defenseman is Adams Top Priority per Lebrun

We all know Kevyn is very deliberate and sets parameters on his moves. If the parameter is exceeded he doesn't get caught up in the emotion of the deal and walks away. (He did this with Ullmark I think, and for what Ullmark had shown to date I think it was the correct move.) Right... make the trade before the pick. But I can't see picking another team's preferred player and then executing the trade. -

I've thought about this in the past; I don't think it will happen. I don't see another team telling the Sabres who their preferred pick is, and if the trade doesn't go through for whatever reason then Kevyn is stuck with another team's preference instead of is own. This is where the armchair GMs miss the boat I think. The trades they suggest might have already been proposed by Kevyn and rejected by the other team. -

I really think the Sabres need a true second pairing Dman to play with Power. Joki might be an okay 2nd pair guy with another Dman but I'd rather see Power paired with a pure stay-at-home kinda guy, and Joki is more of a 2-way guy and joins the rush. -
Because most people had him rated higher than 13. The only reason he dropped was size. Some list him at 5'-9", others at 5'-10". I tend to think the 5'-9" figure is out of date and he's grown a bit. If he squeaks out another inch (he just turned 18 last month; it could happen) I think the "small" tag could disappear.

That would be funny if that's who they really wanted and he dropped into their lap without expending any trade capital.

THE BUFFALO SABRES WILL BE FINE at playoff hockey. When the challenge comes, most rise to the occasion. Look at some of the recent Sabres departures as proof.

...and he got it.

Interesting that most of that video is passing and backchecking and..... it still moved.
-
Yes I noticed that too. It was uncanny.
-
Ah, so he knows Krebsie too.

Think of it as a conveyor belt. Some of the 10 prospects will not be ready in for years, some will not hit at all, some won't be best used in the top 6 (maybe Rousek will replace Girgs eventually for instance), some may end up being used for capital to plug other holes on the team.

Hoping for somewhere between Briere and Skinner.
-
No really... Skinner's replacement.

They have several different nameplates made up and velcro it on.

What do you base your judgment on? At the end of the season playoff run when Casey played on the top line, he played well The line not only didn't miss a beat without Tage but it excelled. With respect to Krebs, his solid play on the fourth line had no drop-off during that end of season pressurized run. I fully expect Mitts to be a beast in the playoffs, especially if he's on the third line. I could see other teams' top lines neutralizing Tage's and Dylan's lines and the series being won from the third line. -

It was an inflection in the wrong direction. I was very optimistic at the time though. -
After seeing the alternative, I'm okay with slow and steady.
