  1. Hmmm.... I have a Polish ancestor with a similar sounding (but Polish-fied) name. I wonder if I'm kin to that dude somewhere back in time (but not all the way back to Charlemagne)?
  2. Nope. Already forgotten. *goes back to the Home Improvement thread to see what @shrader is blathering on about*
  3. She doesn't want you to use your pet name for her in any other context, perhaps? *ducks and runs out of the room*
  4. I'm looking forward to Rob Ray's pronunciation of it.
  5. A Mule, huh? Mules are good.
  6. You mean does he want to continue to live in his mom's basement?
  7. Dammit, you're right.
  8. I would expect this kind of post from @inkman
  9. Bring Savioe up, then put him on Ice when Quinn returns
  10. It seems like a greater percentage of defensive prospects come from Europe, compared to offensive prospects. So they tend to be invisible until they show up in Rochester.
  11. So.... Mittlstadt's brain in Tuch's body? If he can develop some hockey sense he could be a good one I guess. And if he didn't have few warts he would have been selected on Day One.
  12. "...he’s probably the best leader I ever played for." Pretty high praise for Krebs and it's really pretty interesting that leadership/character seems to be just as important as talent to Kevyn. That's how you build a locker room culture.
  13. So you know it would piss off the moderation team.
  14. We all know Kevyn is very deliberate and sets parameters on his moves. If the parameter is exceeded he doesn't get caught up in the emotion of the deal and walks away. (He did this with Ullmark I think, and for what Ullmark had shown to date I think it was the correct move.) Right... make the trade before the pick. But I can't see picking another team's preferred player and then executing the trade.
  15. I've thought about this in the past; I don't think it will happen. I don't see another team telling the Sabres who their preferred pick is, and if the trade doesn't go through for whatever reason then Kevyn is stuck with another team's preference instead of is own. This is where the armchair GMs miss the boat I think. The trades they suggest might have already been proposed by Kevyn and rejected by the other team.
  16. I really think the Sabres need a true second pairing Dman to play with Power. Joki might be an okay 2nd pair guy with another Dman but I'd rather see Power paired with a pure stay-at-home kinda guy, and Joki is more of a 2-way guy and joins the rush.
  17. Because most people had him rated higher than 13. The only reason he dropped was size. Some list him at 5'-9", others at 5'-10". I tend to think the 5'-9" figure is out of date and he's grown a bit. If he squeaks out another inch (he just turned 18 last month; it could happen) I think the "small" tag could disappear.
  18. That would be funny if that's who they really wanted and he dropped into their lap without expending any trade capital.
  19. THE BUFFALO SABRES WILL BE FINE at playoff hockey. When the challenge comes, most rise to the occasion. Look at some of the recent Sabres departures as proof.
  20. ...and he got it.
  21. Interesting that most of that video is passing and backchecking and..... it still moved.
  22. Yes I noticed that too. It was uncanny.
  23. Ah, so he knows Krebsie too.
  24. Think of it as a conveyor belt. Some of the 10 prospects will not be ready in for years, some will not hit at all, some won't be best used in the top 6 (maybe Rousek will replace Girgs eventually for instance), some may end up being used for capital to plug other holes on the team.
