I have a new favorite candy.

The passive verb would be Umbergered; you are correct: Meier got Umbergered. But the active verb would be Trouba Campbelled him.
-
And that's that. Devils will advance.
-
Tatar is turning 33 this year and scored 29 goals 8 seasons ago, are you thinking of the right guy? Eh, prolly not.
-
Trouba just Campbelled Meier. That should be a penalty- shoulder to head. That's precisely why they have the rule against targeting the head; the fact that he was looking down does not excuse the target. But what do I know?

Palat's play on that first NJ goal... if you told me that was Casey Mittelstadt or Dylan Cozens I would believe you. Excellent checking and board work followed by an elite pass.
-
Really? I think he's fine.

The bicycle groups around here frequently do taco rides. There is a huge variety of tacos, and the best are nothing like what you get at Taco Bell and any Tex-Mex restaurant.
-
But for some defensive depth and better goaltending, the Sabres could be where the Devils are. I think they will be soon.
-
The Devils are very rebound hungry and it's paying off. Take note, Donny Meatballs.

Tatar reminds me of Mitts- a bit slow to develop, but has become a solid player.

I feel NJ is the vanguard of "The New Order" of the NHL, and I'm rooting for them this year. As Ottawa, Detroit and yes, Buffalo, join The New Order I'll obviously be pulling for the Sabres. Boston, Tampa, Washington, NYR, their time has come and gone. They'll be replaced by The New Order, and will be battling Carolina, Toronto and Florida for dominance of the East. "Great things are afoot!" -Slartibartfast Tatar makes it 2-0!

NJD opens the scoring with a shortie!

NJ with the smothering.... offense?

Kevyn should be on the phone RIGHT NOW!* *this post is a parody of reactions whenever an established coach gets fired.

In the Bruins thread @BuffalOhio linked, they stated Pasta and McAvoy are not hard working grinders ("warriors" was the term they used but I took it to mean the same thing).

Actually seems like pretty level-headed analysis in the wake of a loss. I saw very little wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Suddenly the Greenway acquisition makes sense...

I was thinking the same thing. He wasn't a great player for the Sabres [?????] As a rookie he was third on the team in points behind ROR and Eich In 2016-17: 3rd in points 2017-18: 3rd 2018-19: 2nd 2019-20: 2nd 2020-21: 1st The only Sabres to score more points than Reino in his Sabres tenure in any given season were ROR and Eichel. He wasn't "great"? What's your definition of great? He was a solid hockey player, rarely injured, very dependable.

Thought that was a girl in New York City Naw, she just called herself that.

I think @LTS isn't going to develop any further. Trade him now before his value declines.

Who gets the boot? Who is at the top of your list?

I don't think there is anything precluding it, but if he's interested in coaching I'd think it more likely he will get his milestones and then retire to full time coaching. -

Zadorov will never be a Sabre again, nor do I want him. He takes too many undisciplined penalties. I'd just as soon bring back Risto. (And no, I don't want him back either, but Zads is in the same boat for me.) -
Jealous, Patrik?
