  1. Power had a clear shot and decided to attempted a cross-ice pass which predictably was intercepted. *sigh*
  2. The team is so bad, even their fans only give a half-hearted effort booing them off the ice.
  3. I'll tell you what: JJP is strong like bull.
  4. Luuk's lateral movement is no longer an issue.
  5. Dude totally hooked Clifton behind the net to get that scoring chance.
  6. I think I have a mancrush on Ryan Johnson. He just makes so many smart plays. Yes, they mentioned on the broadcast. Oopie's feelin' it tonight.
  7. Even though he didn't score, I'm glad Cozens shot that. He's gotta get his shooting mojo back.
  8. Starting the game with Coffee Crack, a coffee-infused milk stout aged on pecans in bourbon barrels, at 10.48 ABV. Win or lose I'll be oblivious.
  9. Sadly I don't think the Sabres will score even 3.
  10. Miserable Welps. Forest?
  11. I tuned out after the CAR short handed goal, but it looks like I owe Krebsie this
  12. No, it really didn't even start out well. It started out with the Sabres hanging on. Despite shots being even early, the Sabres never looked dangerous in this one.
  13. I'm done. Good night Sabrespace.
  14. Sorry, Casey, you don't warrant the animated gif this time.
  15. These Sabres don't even belong in the same league with the Canes.
  16. This is embarrassing guys.
  17. It was 0-0 with shots on goal at 6-6. It ended up 2-0 CAR with SOG at 14-8.
  18. I think a case could be made that Skinner is the best forward on the Sabres. Part of that equation is that the best ability is availability. He misses very few games to injury (as opposed to Tage, Quinn and Tuch), and is more savvy with his years of experience than younger players like Cozens, Quinn, Benson and JJP. I think Mitts might also challenge for best forward, but in a different way than Skinny. Skinner (still) plays with high end talent, but is also very cagey in terms of knowing what he can get away with and drawing opposing players into committing penalties against him. Also, he very rarely lets his emotions get the better of him. Even when he's frustrated, there's a certain inner calm. He manages to be in the middle of the play yet stay out of the fray. The two players that I think could become Skinner eventually are Benson and Peterka. They both look like they have that elite skill level but also play the game at a far more mature level than you could expect from players their ages. They also seem to have that inner calm. Before we get into debates, let me put the disclaimer out there that these are just my personal impressions from watching the players play the games and not backed by anything further than my own eyes and the porridge behind them.
