  1. Oh, now I get it! thanks! It all comes down to explaining it in terms people understand.
  2. Because the process of the development takes time to play out.
  3. There are four delivery methods for NHL games: Normal regional sports network (RSN, such as MSG) normally carried on ESPN+ for out-of-market customers (subject to blackout, for instance I have to watch the Dallas coverage on Bally Sports through my cable subscription when they play the Stars) TNT, which requires some sort of cable/satellite/streaming bundle package that includes TNT (not on RSN) ESPN+/Hulu exclusive, which is not on the RSN NHL Network, which is not on the RSN When I do a Game Day Thread I look at the Sabres NHL page (https://www.nhl.com/sabres) to see what the delivery method is and that's what I put in the thread title. At this point most of us out-of-market people understand that MSG means it's also available on ESPN+ so I don't even mention it.
  4. If he plays lights out next season I for one am perfectly okay with it.
  5. But which thread is the chosen one?? By the way, it's on MSG (as opposed to ESPN+ exclusive)
  6. Dori kind of even looks like Donny Meatballs...
  7. How many of the teams that are comfortably in the playoffs are going to rest some of their best players so as to avoid injury, especially against a bubble team? It may keep the door open a crack.
  8. ....maybe they'll be resting critical starters in anticipation of the playoffs? I hope?
  9. It's still feasible that the Sabres take WC #1.
  10. Yep, I mentioned that in one of the other threads. Also mentioned the scenario of the Sabres winning with Levi stoning Reino at the end 😄
  11. It will be interesting to see how they do if they need a win at the very end to get in.
  12. IF the Sabres win their games in hand, they're tied with NYI and FLA. If they beat FLA Tuesday that will put them ahead of FLA (again, if they win their games in hand). None of the three teams ahead of the Sabres have been going like gangbusters. The Sabres just need to win and the rest will take care of itself I think. Tuesday's game really is The Season. Beat the Panthers and it brings them that much closer to a WC spot; lose and the Panthers have the upper hand. If the Sabres win though they just need PIT or NYI to falter just a bit. The problem is that the Sabres will probably also falter along the way. It's a good playoff race. The Sabres had an opportunity to seize control over the last month but couldn't do it. Hoping Tage's return and the magic of Levi can put them over the top.
  13. I have primarily St. Augustine but it's been slow to start up this year and I fear I may have lost some of it during the cold snaps of the last few winters. It's starting to come in now (I hope) and with any luck it will push out some of the weeds.
  14. I think "all those little plays" are things that are fairly new to his game. Earlier in his career he didn't make them. Looking at the first Tuch goal on Saturday, the Old Casey would have tried to carry the puck up the ice and never made it into the Philly zone. Instead he touched it up the boards a few times, getting past one Flyer at a time, until he could finally dish to Tuch for the open shot. Two years ago, Mitts doesn't make that play. And I will say, he doesn't always "make the play." He will go after 50-50 pucks and a lot of the time he doesn't get it, but in the challenge for the puck it slows the other team up and allows the Sabres to get into better position and possibly wait for help to arrive to gain possession. If you look at the teams that the Sabres struggle with, they do the same thing really- never allowing the Sabres to make the clean play and forcing them into mistakes. That's Casey's game, and I think that will play well in the playoffs (whether this year or next). He doesn't play a beautiful game like Tage or Skinner, he plays a tough, persistent game. I think Casey might be that replacement for KO.
  15. I think both of these areas are where he's shown the most improvement. He's steadily gotten more confident playing a physical game. And he's also gotten better at advancing the puck, by passing or dumping (as opposed to trying to stickhandle all the time). Once established in the zone he's gotten better at finding the open man.
  16. Hard to make out but the lines for the sink are drawn in preparation for cutting the hole in the countertop. I wanted to get the countertops done this weekend but didn't get there. I had to work on some other stuff (mow the lawn... it was getting pretty overgrown, and start my taxes).
  17. Didn't get too much done this weekend. At this point I'm working on the countertops and they are definitely two-man lift (at least for this man). I built a jig to hold the sink (cast iron- 100+ pounds!) and did a trial fit with my sink good enough to locate the hole and cut it in the countertop. Before I can install the sink though I need to get the countertops joined and mounted to the cabinets. The countertops might have to wait until next weekend. Trial fit of the drain with the old drain parts. Kind of convoluted but it should work.
  18. This is Texas... you can use the grill year round.
