  1. People who still use Reddit I guess?
  2. JJP never met a shot he didn't like. ❤️
  3. This team is worse than chemo.
  4. Dammit Dahlin, why you so deep?
  5. We need to win with the team that's on the ice.
  6. I'm not liking this start.
  7. On one particular save against the Rags, I noticed he butterflied out in anticipation of a shot, and the shooter tried for high corner. UPL stretched his frame up to the shot and deflected the puck with his shoulder. A lot of the times the oversized goalies just sit there in the butterfly and assume the hole is too small to hit. I liked that he actively blocked it and I don't think he was doing stuff like that previous to this season.
  8. In medical expenses, "out of pocket" literally means the portion of a bill that is not covered by insurance and there someone has to pay it themselves..."out of their own pocket."
  9. If nothing else, Clifton was a good depth signing. I don't think he envisioned the Sabres having this many good NHL D players. He thought he might be Top Four but Muel is the incumbent, Joki is becoming Teppo Numminen and having his best season as a Sabre, and Ryan Johnson came out of nowhere. I don't think Clifton is better than any of those guys to be honest. It's just so weird to have 7 legit NHLers on D. It's been ages since the Sabres have had that.
  10. I suspect this is true. But don't they do that in college?
  11. It's not all that uncommon for teams to shuttle between goalies until they figure out who gives them their best shot to win. Some teams are goalie carousels. While I think this situation is a bit atypical in that they don't have a proven veteran, sometimes the proven veterans lose out to the younger guy anyway. As long as the goaltending settles in I don't care how we got there.
  12. The NHL asked him to do it off to the side for some undisclosed reason.
  13. I think he figured he *might* be. He was 5-2 last season. If he picked up where he left off (of course the team didn't in general, but that's another story), he might have stuck. But just like every other prospect that gets a cup of coffee in the NHL, the stint in Buffalo this season told him he's not quite ready and likely provided a list of things he needs to work on in Rochester. For a Super Sabres Fan, you sure don't like the team much, do you?
  14. I’m not sure you have to worry about your wife cheating with an uglier dude.
  15. Lee Harvey Oswald would like a word...
  16. Oh Well was when I discovered there was a whole other Fleetwood Mac I didn't know existed before the McVie and Nicks era. Oddly enough, whenever heard Parts 1 and 2 together, I didn't realize for a long time that they were parts of the same song.
  17. And really, even if Tage and Cozens slot above him, Mitts is much more to this team than a 3C. If I had to rate them as centers, I think Tage is 1A, Mitts is 1B, and Cozens is 2. The way they've been deployed though is if Tage is healthy, the put Mitts on the 3rd line, and depending on the wingers he has, the Sabres then have 3 legit scoring lines, or two good scoring lines and an excellent 2-way line. And in terms of ranking them on "2-way-ness" Casey comes in ahead of both Cozens and Tage at the present moment. He's reaching his peak and has shown himself to be perhaps the most versatile player in the lineup. It would be folly not to keep him.
