Perhaps the stacked division coupled with a 3 game losing streak to start, instilled a sense of desperation in the team that's motivating them not to fall further behind. If they can turn it around to start winning more than they lose because that desperation, the desperation may become habit. As long as I've been a fan, when the Sabres hustle, they win.
