  1. I really think the Sabres need a true second pairing Dman to play with Power. Joki might be an okay 2nd pair guy with another Dman but I'd rather see Power paired with a pure stay-at-home kinda guy, and Joki is more of a 2-way guy and joins the rush.
  2. Because most people had him rated higher than 13. The only reason he dropped was size. Some list him at 5'-9", others at 5'-10". I tend to think the 5'-9" figure is out of date and he's grown a bit. If he squeaks out another inch (he just turned 18 last month; it could happen) I think the "small" tag could disappear.
  3. That would be funny if that's who they really wanted and he dropped into their lap without expending any trade capital.
  4. THE BUFFALO SABRES WILL BE FINE at playoff hockey. When the challenge comes, most rise to the occasion. Look at some of the recent Sabres departures as proof.
  5. Interesting that most of that video is passing and backchecking and..... it still moved.
  6. Yes I noticed that too. It was uncanny.
  7. Ah, so he knows Krebsie too.
  8. Think of it as a conveyor belt. Some of the 10 prospects will not be ready in for years, some will not hit at all, some won't be best used in the top 6 (maybe Rousek will replace Girgs eventually for instance), some may end up being used for capital to plug other holes on the team.
  9. Hoping for somewhere between Briere and Skinner.
  10. No really... Skinner's replacement.
  11. They have several different nameplates made up and velcro it on.
  12. What do you base your judgment on? At the end of the season playoff run when Casey played on the top line, he played well The line not only didn't miss a beat without Tage but it excelled. With respect to Krebs, his solid play on the fourth line had no drop-off during that end of season pressurized run. I fully expect Mitts to be a beast in the playoffs, especially if he's on the third line. I could see other teams' top lines neutralizing Tage's and Dylan's lines and the series being won from the third line.
  13. It was an inflection in the wrong direction. I was very optimistic at the time though.
  14. After seeing the alternative, I'm okay with slow and steady.
  15. I just saw Kevyn. He's got bare feet.
  16. As painful as this may be, another example of an "inflection point" was in the summer of 1998 when the Dallas Stars signed Brett Hull. At the time Taylor Hall was signed by the Sabres, I was hoping that was going to be an inflection point for the Sabres but we all know how that worked out.
  17. Before I went on vacation I put the rails on the wall to hang the last batch of cabinets. While I was gone my son put the cabinet frames together and hung them, but had issues because the rails were just a bit too close together. So today I adjusted the rails and the cabinets are up, and the small countertop is on. Now they just need shelves, doors and drawers.
  18. I will look from afar (Texas) and be jealous of your get together. Unless the dates line up and I can somehow magically make it.
