  1. Oh I know Hasek wanted out but geeze the Sabres did it to themselves. Jim F-ing Slater? Dahell?
  2. Jim Slater? I don't even know that name. The Sabres got fleeced.
  3. How is wrong item the driver's fault (unless he's delivering to wrong address)?
  4. Everyone is stealing @inkman's lines these days.
  5. The grading I saw.... trying to remember who did it, gave the Sabres an A. (And gave the Leafs a D)
  6. One thing I heard Forton say in his presser about Strback and McCarthy "mean, hard to play against kids." That's what I want to complement the higher end talent of Dahlin and Power, or filling out the bottom D pair: Mean and hard to play against. Forton was clearly very happy with the selections, like a kid in a candy store.
  7. In the highlight reel I saw, I thought the same thing. At times it looked like he was toying with other players before blowing around them; that's a very Datsyukian trait. Stick handles like the puck is a yo-yo on a string.
  8. Jerry Forton agreed with this take in his post-draft presser.
  9. Holy crap, only three draft selections? Holy crap. That's no way to stock a pipeline. Toronto's gonna be in trouble in a few years.
  10. Hmmm.... I have a Polish ancestor with a similar sounding (but Polish-fied) name. I wonder if I'm kin to that dude somewhere back in time (but not all the way back to Charlemagne)?
  11. Nope. Already forgotten. *goes back to the Home Improvement thread to see what @shrader is blathering on about*
  12. She doesn't want you to use your pet name for her in any other context, perhaps? *ducks and runs out of the room*
  13. I'm looking forward to Rob Ray's pronunciation of it.
  14. You mean does he want to continue to live in his mom's basement?
  15. I would expect this kind of post from @inkman
  16. Bring Savioe up, then put him on Ice when Quinn returns
  17. It seems like a greater percentage of defensive prospects come from Europe, compared to offensive prospects. So they tend to be invisible until they show up in Rochester.
  18. So.... Mittlstadt's brain in Tuch's body? If he can develop some hockey sense he could be a good one I guess. And if he didn't have few warts he would have been selected on Day One.
  19. "...he’s probably the best leader I ever played for." Pretty high praise for Krebs and it's really pretty interesting that leadership/character seems to be just as important as talent to Kevyn. That's how you build a locker room culture.
  20. So you know it would piss off the moderation team.
  21. We all know Kevyn is very deliberate and sets parameters on his moves. If the parameter is exceeded he doesn't get caught up in the emotion of the deal and walks away. (He did this with Ullmark I think, and for what Ullmark had shown to date I think it was the correct move.) Right... make the trade before the pick. But I can't see picking another team's preferred player and then executing the trade.
  22. I've thought about this in the past; I don't think it will happen. I don't see another team telling the Sabres who their preferred pick is, and if the trade doesn't go through for whatever reason then Kevyn is stuck with another team's preference instead of is own. This is where the armchair GMs miss the boat I think. The trades they suggest might have already been proposed by Kevyn and rejected by the other team.
