  1. Actually, while I think Quinn will turn out to be the better player over the long term, I think Casey is the better second-line winger right now. I wouldn't expect a drop off with Mitts, I'd expect an improvement (possibly from standpoint of lower goals against than an increase in points).
  2. West Seneca. Where else can you have lunch at Applebee's and follow it up with a donut from Paula's?
  3. One of the greatest to play the position, Nick Lidstrom, was never particularly physical but was pretty amazing defensively.
  4. I'm not voting because really it's too early to say. We've barely gotten a glimpse of Power's play and Dahlin took several years to get to the level of play we're seeing from him now. Define "best hair."
  5. I've been to several Sabres-Stars games in Dallas and let me tell ya, when they play the Pantera goal song it is utterly demoralizing to the enemy (and any of their fans in attendance). I have to admit that I'm a bit jealous of the Stars for that. It's a great goal song with a great back story. When Dimebag Darrell of Pantera passed away in 2004, I was shocked in that nearly EVERY musician friend I know (from band members, to Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, to music teachers) had a story about a personal encounter with him and no one had a bad word to say about him. Total class guy, and a total backer of the arts locally in all kinds of ways.
  6. Cameras are very small these days; could probably install one using a 1/8" hole or smaller.
  7. "SHG: The ULTIMATE penalty killer!" Basically, a like free kick in soccer.
  8. Going through the ones I posted I think Can You Hear Me Knocking would be the on I'd actually use.
  9. Any of these would suit me fine. I have each one cued up to where they should start after the goal.
  10. WOMP WOMP. You are absolutely correct. 😄
  11. What great lake is Montreal on? Ottawa? A better name would be the St. Lawrence Division since the Great Lakes dump into the St. Lawrence Seaway.
  12. Just get your first row straight and use spacers between tiles and... don't sweat it if they're off just a bit; you'll be the only one to notice.
  13. Yeah, driveways are freakin' expensive. For a rank amateur (first time doing wall tile) I'm pretty happy with the way the tile came out, especially the grout and caulk lines.
  14. My wife bought a package of the Broadway shows coming through Fort Worth playing at Bass Hall, so there will be more. Luckily my daughter-in-law and her friend will be taking the tickets for Frozen; no desire to see that.
  15. George Strait was one of the first artists to play at Dickies Arena here in Fort Worth in November 2019 just before the pandemic. I thought it would be a good show to see but tickets were ridiculous and sold out in seconds. They were even more ridiculous on the resale market. It was... eventually. I think it was a sold-out show.
  16. Not exactly a concert, but the wife and I went to see The Book of Mormon last night. It was a fun romp. This is the ceiling of the theater.
  17. And if Olofsson's lack of effort continues, he can have Lazy This is the way. I personally find individual goal songs amateur hour. The nursing home called... they want you back there right away. 😉 A further not on Lazy: When I played intramural hockey in college, Lazy was actually one of my psych-up songs before games.
  18. I agree except for the last bit: A team cannot call their timeout during an icing under the current rule; I assume @Marvin means that would apply here. I still don't like the proposed rule though, which is basically what it was prior to the minor penalty for delay of game (although the players could change).
  19. I would keep zone entries the same, but zone exits would be at the center line. This would encourage more scoring I think since it would b harder to clear the zone. In OT, I would make it a line violation if a team passes/shoots/"loses control" of the puck from the offensive zone (without the other team touching it) to the neutral zone: Once they possess the puck in the offensive zone they have to keep it there. If not, it becomes a faceoff in their defensive zone. The point of this rule is to keep one team from hogging the puck in OT. I think the Sabres generally benefit with the current rule but that won't always be the case.
