  1. Spending time with family. I see him as a potential "special goalie consultant" but not a full time anything at this point. I'd love to have him but I think he wants to spend time with the wife & kids.
  2. Jump on the Rangers bandwagon. We have Jonah Heim. 🙂 The Rangers are kind of the Buffalo Bills of the MLB: been to the finals, still haven't won it. Root for them and the Bills and the Sabres to all win their first title this season.
  3. There's a tradeoff to be had with respect to stability versus trying to find natural chemistry. If players don't play together long enough, they don't click. If you depend on natural chemistry to click, line combinations become like a lottery ticket- you might get a winning combination but more likely not.
  4. You're talking about a difference of about 5% ice time between the top three Cs. At this point in the season I don't see that as in any way significant.
  5. I don't think the question is who to replace VO with; it's how to disposition VO's roster spot. If Kevyn wants to get rid of him, he's going to do it via trade to make the team somehow better. He's not going to let VO ride the pine and he's not going to waive him. So the real issue is how to move VO.
  6. Evan Carter has been amazing. Barely 21, called up the last month, and playing like an all-star. OPS of 1.058 in the regular season, 1.338 in the playoffs so far. I think you could argue many, if not most, MLB outfielders don't make that play against the wall in a ballpark with a wall that jogs like that. He also opened the scoring by stretching a ball deflected by an infielder into a double, then scoring on a single from second base.
  7. When a play like this is made by a 21-year-old who earned his first MLB callup with less than a month to go in the season, thoughts of "team of destiny" start to creep into my brain.
  8. Olofsson.... back playing defense? Is this the Victor Olofsson we thought he was?
  9. I think the effectiveness of the Mitts line is giving Tage's line more room, and they're starting to warm up.
  10. This is what we want to see out of Greenway: Exactly that type of goal. Pretty fancy stickhandling it tight.
